OKAY, OKAY… WE KNOW WHAT YOU’RE ABOUT TO ASK. October will be here tomorrow.
Before the posts and phone calls start:
“BUT WHEN IS TRICK-OR-TREAT?!”
“WHAT DAY IS IT?!”
“WHAT TIME DO WE START?!”
"WHAT IF IT RAINS?"
We’ve got you.
SPRINGBORO TRICK-OR-TREAT
Saturday, October 31, 2026
6:00–8:00 PM
Springboro’s Trick-or-Treat is traditionally observed on October 31, like most communities in the area.
**Important note: This is not a City-sponsored event. As always, parents and guardians should decide whether their children participate in Trick-or-Treat or other Halloween activities.
And if October 31 feels too far away for your little ghosts and goblins to wait…
There are several Trunk-or-Treat and Trick-or-Treat opportunities happening around the area, including activities in Historic Springboro, so there are plenty of ways to get into the Halloween spirit before the big night!
🕷️ A FEW HALLOWEEN SAFETY REMINDERS FROM SPD:
DO:
🔦 Carry a flashlight.
👨👩👧👦 Go in groups with at least one adult.
🏠 Visit homes with their lights on.
👟 Make sure shoes fit and costumes are short enough to prevent tripping.
🧠 Use common sense. If something feels wrong, it probably is.
🧥 Dress for the weather. October can bring chilly, windy and rainy conditions.
(There is no "rain date")
DON’T:
😷 Wear masks or costumes that interfere with your ability to see or walk safely.
🚪 Go inside the home of someone you don't know.
🍫 Eat the candy haul until an adult has had a chance to check it.
🚗 DRIVERS: Halloween means there may be tiny superheroes, princesses, ghosts and creatures darting across the road when you least expect it. Please **slow down, stay alert and watch carefully for children crossing streets.**
And finally…
Have fun. Be safe. Get ALL the good candy.
(Okay, parents… you know what we mean. )
We’ll see you out there on Halloween night!
