📚 Conveying Courage: Preparing Scholars for Success! 💙🤘

Today, George Junior High School scholars received a powerful lesson in Conveying Courage from members of the Kappa Upsilon Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. at the University of Arkansas!

Our guest speakers shared valuable insights on preparing for college, maintaining strong grades, and developing the right mindset to overcome challenges. Together, they explored Invictus by William Ernest Henley, uncovering its timeless message of resilience, perseverance, and personal responsibility.

Our scholars were reminded that success begins with preparation, a commitment to excellence, and the courage to keep moving forward when life gets challenging.

A special thank you to our Phi Beta Sigma brothers for investing in our scholars and encouraging them to take ownership of their futures. The lessons shared today extend far beyond the classroom! 💙🤘

🏐 Congratulations to our 9th Grade Lady Wrangler Volleyball Team! 🏐

Our Lady Wranglers celebrated Freshman Night with an impressive victory over Lakeside, winning in straight sets! The team delivered one of its strongest performances of the season, showcasing outstanding teamwork, determination, and heart.

George Theatre students had quite a week!

First, a field trip to see a performance at the Walton Arts Center on Tuesday, and then they competed in the HBHS Haunted Halls Junior High Tournament on Saturday. This was their first NSDA tournament ever and they competed alongside our GJHS Debate team!

THREE Wrangler Thespians made it past the prelim rounds in the forensics events of Prose and Storytelling and went on to compete in the quarterfinals! Huge shoutout to Eva Gonzalez (9), Aubrey Menendez (9), and Ricky Lynn (8) for that accomplishment!

We are so proud of ALL of our Wranglers who showed up to do hard things, wear fun and silly costumes, and represent George!
