The event, hosted at our headquarters in Springfield, had over 200 attendees. The big draw? 28 vendor booths, that included 6 large equipment displays on site.

IMUA thanks all members, municipal utility employees and IMUA Associate Members who made the day such a success.

This Public Power Week, we’re also celebrating Public Natural Gas Week—a nationwide observance of municipally-owned systems.

Our organization includes a natural gas wholesale supply agency, the Illinois Public Energy Agency (IPEA), that supplies gas to a number of these municipalities throughout the state.

This week, we recognize and celebrate their dedicated gas crews and staff who work tirelessly to keep their natural gas systems running throughout the year.

We just hit 50 energy efficiency projects approved since the May 1st start of the fiscal year!

Applicants for the approved projects are slated to receive a total of $661,500 in incentives and are estimated to reduce their electric consumption by a combined 2 million kilowatt hours anually.

IMEA's Energy Efficiency Program makes a real impact by reducing energy consumption and electric bills in our 32 member communities.
