Building Block Play Studio An engaging, safe, comfortable, and accepting place to play and learn with your child! All of our equipment and programming is designed to spark creativity.

The mission of Building Block Play Studio is to build community for children and their caregivers
through the three C’s: Creativity, Character, Connection. Creativity

Building Block Studio provides open ended play environments designed to allow your child’s creativity to run wild. Character

Being in a play space with other families is invaluable to building your child’s character. Children can practice introducing themselves, taking turns, problem solving, and making friends in a fun, safe environment. Connection

The same way children learn by watching other children, parents have a lot to learn from one another. Whether they sit with coffee or jump in and play, the connections made will leave caregivers feeling recharged and ready for the days ahead. In providing opportunities for parents and caregivers to teach classes, we anticipate many hidden talents to come to light.

We’re looking for one or two food or beverage trucks to join us for our BLOCK PARTY! 🎉💛

Come help us celebrate one last play night with the Block family at Building Block Play Studio before ownership officially changes hands. 🥹

Today is all about celebrating the little things that make us smile—and we think there’s no better place to find smiles than at Building Block Play Studio! 🥰

From big belly laughs and silly games to new friendships and those sweet little moments that make your heart happy, we’re so lucky to be surrounded by **smiles every single day.** 💛

Our favorite kind of smile is the one that happens when kids are simply being kids—playing, exploring, imagining, and having FUN! 🧱✨

💛 **A New Chapter at Building Block Play Studio** 💛

We have some exciting news to share with our Building Block family!

After so many wonderful years of laughter, play, birthday celebrations, friendships, and memories, **Building Block Play Studio will officially have new ownership beginning NOVEMBER 1st.** While saying goodbye to something that has meant so much to our family is certainly bittersweet, we are so excited to introduce you to the family who will be carrying Building Blocks into its next chapter!

Please help us give a BIG Building Block welcome to *Liz Avery and her family! 🥰

Here’s a little note from Liz:

Hi, friends!

I’m Liz Avery, and I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new owner of Building Block Play Studio.

I was born and raised here in Springfield. I’m a preschool teacher, a high school volleyball coach, a baby clothing boutique owner and most importantly, a mom to two little ones who are 3 and 1. Becoming a mom has shown me just how valuable places like Building Block is—not just for kids to play and explore, but for parents to connect, take a breath, and make memories together.

My hope is to preserve everything families already love while adding my own touch along the way. I want Building Block to continue being a place where children can laugh, learn, imagine, and just be kids, while families feel welcomed every time they walk through the door. I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve the Springfield community in this new way, and I can’t wait to meet all of you!

🧱We truly hope you’ll continue to show Liz and her family the same love and support you have shown us over the years. We know they are going to love this place and the families who make Building Block so special.

As for us, we will forever be grateful for every family who walked through our doors, every birthday we celebrated, every friendship made, and every memory our own kids were lucky enough to make here. **Building Block Play Studio has been so much more than a business to us—it has been a very special part of our family’s story.** 💛
