We were delighted to recognize and celebrate some of our exceptional staff members this week in honor of Teacher Proud Tuesday!
Certified Staff - Nicole Harden
York Elementary is proud to recognize Nicole Harden as our Certified Staff Member of the Month! From the moment the EBS job was posted, Nicole showed exceptional initiative by stepping up immediately to inquire about the role that was much needed in our area of the district. That proactive energy set the tone for an incredible start to the school year.
Within the first few days of school, Nicole had already built strong, meaningful relationships with both her students and her paraprofessionals in the EBS classroom. She quickly set clear expectations tailored to meet her students' individual needs, establishing an environment built on trust, consistency, and respect.
Through the thoughtful structures and daily systems she created, Nicole's classroom has become a space where students feel supported and equipped to succeed. Her impact is already measurable: within just the first month of school, some of her students have successfully increased their time in the regular education setting.

Classified Staff - Katie Miller
York Elementary is excited to recognize Katie Miller as our Classified Staff Member of the Month! As our building paraprofessional, Katie has hit the ground running this school year, consistently stepping up and going above and beyond to support both teachers and students across many different capacities.
Katie acts as a vital first responder for our students, stepping in with patience and care to help them regulate, stay focused, and find success in the classroom setting. Her presence ensures that our students feel supported whenever they need an extra hand. Beyond her classroom impact, Katie generously pitches in wherever the school needs her most by taking on crucial daily duties including morning and afternoon car lines and lunch monitoring with a positive attitude.
