💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

Domestic violence can happen to anyone.

It can happen to your friend.
Your coworker.
Your neighbor.
Your family member.
The person who always seems happy.
The person you would never expect.

There is no single “look” of domestic violence, and abuse is not always visible. Behind closed doors, someone may be experiencing fear, control, threats, isolation, emotional abuse, financial abuse, or physical violence while appearing completely okay to the rest of the world.

Believe survivors. Check on the people you love. Know the signs. And never assume it couldn’t happen to someone you know.

The STCC Police Department stands with survivors and wants our community to know that help is available. You deserve to feel safe. 💜

Massachusetts Resources:
💜 SafeLink: 1-877-785-2020 — 24/7 statewide domestic violence hotline
💜 YWCA of Western Massachusetts: 413-733-7100 — 24/7 crisis support
💜 National Domestic Violence Hotline: 1-800-799-SAFE (7233)

🚨 If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, call 911.

Domestic violence can happen to anyone.
Silence protects abuse. Awareness supports survivors. 💜

💕 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! 🎀

This October, you may notice something a little different on our uniforms! Officers of the Springfield Technical Community College Police Department will proudly wear pink patches in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

These patches represent more than just a change in color. They symbolize strength, hope, remembrance, and our support for those currently fighting, those who have survived, and those we have lost.

Together, we stand PINK for a brighter tomorrow! 💗

Today’s picnic was so much fun! 🚔💙

Thank you to all of the students who stopped by the STCC Police table to say hello, ask questions, and spend some time with us! We had a great time meeting so many of you.

We also had some fun with our impaired-vision goggles and learned an important lesson along the way: driving under the influence is never worth the risk. 🚫🍺🚗

We hope you had as much fun as we did! Thanks for making today such a great one. We’ll see you around campus!

🍂 The leaves are starting to change colors across campus, and our favorite walkways and gathering spots are getting their fall makeover! 🍁

There’s something special about this time of year on campus crisp air, colorful trees, busy pathways, and that unmistakable back-to-school energy. Fall is right around the corner, and we’re ready for everything the season brings.

Now bring on the pumpkin spice! ☕️🍂

Today, the STCC Police Department proudly recognizes the women who serve our campus community with strength, compassion, professionalism, and dedication.

We are proud to celebrate Corporal Crystal Rivera, Corporal Kendall Tardy, and Student Officer Stephanie Katz. Each of these women represents a different part of the law enforcement journey from learning and growing in the profession to leading and serving others.

Thank you for your commitment to keeping our campus safe, supporting our students, and showing future generations of women that there is a place for them in law enforcement.

Here’s to strong women who protect, serve, lead, and inspire. 💙🚔
