🇺🇸 Advocating for Our Veterans!

The Veterans Assistance Commission of Sangamon County is proud to recognize VSO Bridgett Crawford, who serves on Congresswoman Nikki Budzinski’s Veterans Advisory Council.

Bridgett recently participated in a roundtable at Lincoln Land Community College, discussing important issues including veterans’ mental health, the Major Richard Star Act, and protecting veterans from predatory claims practices.

We appreciate the opportunity to have a voice at the table and ensure the needs of Sangamon County veterans are heard at the federal level.

🇺🇸 Our veterans deserve more than words of gratitude. They deserve action, accountability, and strong advocacy. We will continue fighting to ensure their voices are heard, their benefits are protected, and their service is never forgotten.

Shoutout to Operation Hometown Heroes Sara Prior (Daughter, Sister, & Granddaughter of a Veteran), Emily Rieger (Wife of an Iraq Veteran🙋🏻‍♂️), Vetstock 2026 Trae Covington - State Farm Agent (Son of a Vietnam Veteran & Nephew of a Gulf War Veteran), Veterans Assistance Commission of Sangamon County VSO David Rieger (Iraq Veteran), and VSO Bridgett Crawford (Iraq Veteran) for coming together for a great cause. We miss you Larry Beck and we hope to continue to honor you. 🫡
