Hello just an update. WT 65 is on its way to the Gann Fire. We were called up this afternoon. Both Don and David will be on this Fire.
They will be there by about 8 pm this evening until released.

WT 265 is at the Station and available for pickup in case of a fire here.

Just a reminder to everyone that we hold our annual elections at tomorrow’s meeting. Chief, Assistant Chief, Treasurer, Secretary, Training Officer and Assistant Training Officer. If you can’t attend but would still like to vote you can call or text Chief Pattie or myself.

Thank you, David 🚒🚒

The March of the Trimmers.
We had one of our clean-up days at the Fire Station this week end. Weeds are getting under control, Roundup sprayed, and grass trimming blown off the driveway. Looks good.

The third Tuesday of each month is Mountain Valley Volunteer Fire Department's training meeting. This evening we have three of our Fire trucks here, WT165, WT265, and E365, to become familiar with tools and equipment when on a fire call. Not everyone at the department drives a fire truck. I do not drive a fire truck, so this is good orientation for the newcomers, and myself. We are also shown how to start, and the function of the fire trucks water pumps. If this sounds like fun, come on by on the first and third Tuesday of each month. Volunteering can be a lot of fun and rewarding.

Today was a sad day at our Fire Station. We had a Memorial Service for one of our own Volunteers. We said our Farwells to Cheryl Eaker. Cheryl had been with Mountain Valley Volunteer Fire Department Co. 65, for over 22 years. She will be missed by all of us that new her. Cheryl's son Patrick and his wife, had also attended the Service.
