🚨 A Veteran's Final Days: Why the St. Louis Archdiocese Must Act Now to Uphold Father Dempsey's True Mission 🚨

"to witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ by providing transitional housing, food, and essential social services to men in need, while maintaining the dignity of the human person."

Friends, followers, and anyone who CARES about dignity for the vulnerable should not just READ and REMEMBER what the mission statement SAYS, but rather LIVE what Father Dempsey's mission statement MEANS:

Im Jay and I have shared a few stories here because silence only lets problems fester. Today, it's personal and urgent: A close friend, a veteran in his final hospice days, unable to speak, entrusted me with his wishes. Yet, amid suspicions of mishandled belongings and inconsistent stories, I've hit walls No responses, No emails, No returned calls, despite reaching out to those with the power to help.

This isn't just one case; it's a symptom of deeper failures the St. Louis Archdiocese has allowed to persist unchecked for years. Undisciplined behaviors have bred hesitation, confusion, unnecessary complications, and real hardships for already broken men seeking shelter.

But where's the DIGNITY? Rent climbs near market rates for shared rooms without personal appliances allowe One microwave per floor, ignoring needs like diabetic diets or basic healthy eating. Essential building maintenance? Neglected. Social services? Absent or inadequate. I've seen and heard multiple examples where these lapses aren't just oversights.

They are literal and lawful violations of that sacred promise. This isn't transitional support; it's a system run by patterns of manipulation that prioritize anything but the residents' best interests.

The Archdiocese's leadership, including those directly overseeing the director, has the authority to make adjustments. They've received letters, complaints / outlandish as some may seem. They are rooted in a common thread of NEGLECT.

Sitting idle and waiting for the smoke to clear? The air is getting thicker making it harder to breathe. Cracking a window isn't enough anymore. Don't you smell it? the BuildiNG is on fire and We must put it out now, before... before.. it ColLaPPSess.

They point fingers, discredit, make claims they'll "never remember" the full story. But we do.

Proof and examples ready. Time is essence Demand a change that lives the mission, not just recites it.

🚨 URGENT CALL FOR HELP: My Friend, a Veteran on His Deathbed at Father Dempsey's Charities, Needs Justice NOW! 🚨

I'm Jay, former resident here, and creator of this page to expose what is going on at Father Dempsey's. My close friend and vet is now fighting for his life in hospice, unable to speak. He trusted ME and our friend Chris with his belongings, not the staff or shady opportunists. He documented it all on his phone last November over dinner at my place.

But here's the BS: Another resident that is currently still residing at FDs wormed in as emergency contact, grabbed Terry's wallet, phone, and more from the hospital. A "Stolen" TV? Sketchy stories that don't add up (texts prove it). I've emailed Very Reverend
Carl Scheble, V.G. and left voicemails. No access to Terry's room, no meeting with Director Sam Irons.

Terry deserves a burial at Jefferson Barracks, not vultures picking his bones. If you're with the Archdiocese, VA, or law enforcement we need you to step up and speed up. Some good things are actively happening and I know that they are doing the best they can. We need room access to inventory his stuff, phone unlocked for his wishes, and the investigation in to potential exploitation to move quickly.

Share this wide, tag anyone who can help. Time's running out Terry's got no voice but ours. #

Before and After of the Chapel Painting at Father Dempsey's. Was told to remove these pics from my fund-me page? I painted designed and cleaned all for way below Market Value.

This video I received shows how a resident can be treated directly in front of other residents. "We don't have to give you nothing!"

Now that I am no longer living there. I want to expose how manipulation, fear, character defamation, divide and conquer are the techniques used to control the residents at Father Dempsey's. Sam and I were friends for about 1.5 years. He purchased paintings from me, allowed me to paint a few murals in the building and asked me to speak to some students about my experiences. He employed me at the front desk and hired My friend and I to paint the Kolbe House giving it much needed color. We did this at a fraction of the price they were quoted. I later painted the Chapel within Father Dempsey's. During this time I would help countless number of people with their taxes, government phones, medi-caid, disability and all electronics residents had questions about. I enjoyed it and got to know all the residents very well. They liked me and I became good friends with most of them.

Unfortunatly due to the lack of leadership and irresponsible management the mission is failing and has been for five plus years. As a former resident I am speaking from experience along with documentation, audio, photographs and other eye witness accounts. All letters hereby presented have been submitted to the St. Louis Archdiocese and disgracefully ignored. The St. Louis Archdiocese have shamefully done nothing to aid the residents in regards to illegal evictions, not paying employees for work rendered, defamation/character assassination along with false accusations. This may be because of the way Samuel Irons acquired his position as the director for Father Dempseys. Without going into the details of the settlement. I will assume that the Archdiocese had him in mind to fill this position. I will explain why the current management should be removed and why. I am only doing this because I personally care for the residents at Father Dempsey's. The place did help me but currently has some major problems that have went on far too long. I know that with the correct leadership this can all be corrected and be a much more positive reinforcement with a successful turn over rate for the residents. Meaning that they will leave with a secure job and move on willingly and be excited about their new life. Rather than being kicked out to the street or pass away. Unfortunatly too many residents do leave one of those ways. Very few move out willingly because they are still not secure enough to make that final step.
