Pictured here is our President, Richard Boyer, standing alongside a hydropneumatic flusher used during an internal assessment at a nursing home facility.
This equipment uses a combination of water and compressed air to create high-velocity flow through sprinkler piping, helping remove debris and allowing technicians to evaluate the condition of the system. These assessments can reveal hidden obstructions, corrosion byproducts, and other materials that may restrict water delivery during a fire event. NFPA 25 requires internal pipe assessments under specific conditions to help ensure sprinkler systems remain free of obstructions and ready to perform when needed.
It's a great reminder that effective fire protection goes beyond what you can see. Behind every reliable sprinkler system is a commitment to inspection, testing, maintenance, and ensuring water can reach its intended destination when it's needed most!

This week, one of our team members had the opportunity to volunteer with Camp Fury STL, a unique program hosted by Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri that introduces young women to careers in the fire service & law enforcement.
For the past 10 years, Camp Fury has provided hands-on experiences, mentorship, and insight into public safety careers, helping inspire the next generation of firefighters and police officers. The program is supported by fire departments & public safety organizations from across the St. Louis region.
We're proud to support initiatives like Camp Fury that encourage young women to explore careers in public safety and help build the future of our industry.

Fire extinguishers are often the first line of defense during the early stages of a fire, but only if people know how to use them properly.
Recently, Laurie, a Certified Fire Inspector II, hosted an in-person fire extinguisher education and awareness training for our office team and the team at Missouri Botanical Garden. The training focused on proper extinguisher use, hazard awareness, and workplace fire safety practices.
Training opportunities like this help reinforce the importance of preparedness and safety both in the office and in the field!
