Day 5 (Thursday) of National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to making the day so special for our team.

Lunch was generously provided by Monarch Fire Protection District, and dinner by West Overland EMS and Fire Protection District.

We are also grateful for the thoughtful donations throughout the day, including coffee and pastries from Mike at our local Starbucks; an assortment of “Bundtinis” from Nothing Bundt Cakes provided by Serve Pro; cookies from Abbott EMS; and a red velvet Nothing Bundt Cake from Mercy Medical Control (Dr Moy).

Additionally, each team member received a coupon for a free sandwich from Jersey Mikes.

Today’s prize drawings included agency t-shirts, a challenge coin, Cardinals tickets, and gift cards!

With Hawaiian shirt day as the theme, the atmosphere was filled with positivity, and plenty of smiles.

Representing Abbott EMS at Missouri EMS Lobby Day 2026!

Jason Talbott of Abbott EMS visited Representative Boykin’s office to discuss emergency services legislation currently moving through the House.

Both Talbott and Representative Boykin are Air Force veterans and active members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), connecting over their shared commitment to service. During the visit, Jason presented Representative Boykin with a VFW Post 4105 coin in recognition of her dedication to veterans and first responders.

The conversation highlighted the importance of supporting emergency services professionals and ensuring that legislation meets the needs of the men and women who keep Missouri communities safe.
