License Collector, Mavis T. Thompson, Esq., joined Major Rochelle Jones, Adrian Bracy, CEO of the YWCA and Lydia Padilla on 3-8-16 INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY at the YWCA's "Expand your network" event for young female professionals. Thompson addressed the unique perspective of women leaders. Thompson is a member of the YWCA's Academy of Leaders.

The License Collector's Office just wrapped up its first "City Business Open House" in the City Hall Rotunda. We are giving businesses owners the opportunity to showcase and/or sell their products and services to city employees and people visiting City Hall. The 2-day "City Business Open House" event was a great success. I want to thank you all and specifically , City Assessor Dunlap, Alderman Chris Carter, Alderman Joe Vacarro and other elected officials for stopping by and showing their support for the business community. Thanks to our participating vendors 1) Le-Fit (custom bras & shapewear) 2) Epiphany Boutique (women's wear and accessories 3) Transformation Christian Bookstore 4) Tied Up Bowties 5) Rise & Shine Shoe Shine.
