ONE SPRINKLER Makes All The Difference Again!
Last night around 9:50 PM, Cottleville Fire Protection District responded to a commercial fire alarm at a Multi-story residential complex in St. Peters.
Upon arriving, they noted there was a fire on the 3rd floor balcony of a residential unit. A single dry sidewall sprinkler head installed to protect the balcony was able to hold the fire in check until the Fire Department quickly arrived and extinguished the remaining flames with a watering can.
Our technician, Dan W., was on site this morning to put the system back into service following the activation. While on site, he was able to talk to a resident who witnessed the event. The resident was overwhelmed with gratitude and in awe of the effect the sprinkler system had in keeping the fire in check and activating the fire alarm. They noted that if the sprinkler had not activated when it did, the result could have been devastating.
