Its official! Missourians will get to again say NO to abortion bans on November 3rd, 2026! Vote NO on Amendment 3! AAM Statement below:
Statement from Karissa Anderson Whitted, AAM Board President: “Ever since Missourians voted to stop the last abortion ban, politicians have pulled every trick out of their bag to try to overturn our votes, repeal our Right to Reproductive Freedom, and ban abortion again.
Missourians from all across the state and across the political spectrum worked hard to collect more than 380,000 signatures, knock hundreds of thousands of doors, and earn 1.5 million votes in 2024 to legalize abortion––politicians shouldn’t get to overturn the work and the votes of the people just because they don’t like what we decided.
This is the Show Me State––and we will show those politicians that no means no when we stop another abortion ban at the ballot box. We’ll see them in November when we Vote NO on 3.

LAST WEEK our Director of Policy and External Affairs testified to the House Committee on Children Families in opposition to the so-called “born alive” abortion bill designed to threaten abortion providers with jail time.
(Yes, the same Committee that refused testimony against banning abortion from more than 70 Missourians last year and kicked us all out of the hearing room!)
Drafted by anti-abortion lobbyists across the country, medical professionals refer to these types of bills as TRAP (Targeted Regulation of Abortion Providers) Laws because they are designed to restrict and ultimately ban abortion care in effect, although not explicitly stated in the text.
It’s clear that no matter how blatantly unconstitutional and medically nonsensical this bill is, that someone’s wealthy donors wanted a “win” ahead of losing their new abortion ban at the ballot box later this year.
Missourians already said NO to abortion bans—and NO means NO!
These politicians might have more votes in the capitol building, but Missourians have more votes at the ballot box, and together we will stop the bans! Vote NO on 3!

Missouri, we just voted to end abortion bans in 2024. Now, politicians are working overtime to OVERTURN our votes, REPEAL the Right to Reproductive Freedom, and BAN abortion again at the ballot.
We’ve done it before, we’ll defeat their abortion ban for a second time, but we need you on board.

No matter how hard Missouri’s anti-abortion politicians try to mask their attacks on abortion care as concern for health and safety, Missourians prove time and again that they know the truth: it’s restrictions on abortion care that put our families and communities at risk.

BREAKING: TODAY at 1:00 PM, the House Committee on Children and Families will be accepting public testimony on their latest tricky abortion ban, that they call the born alive abortion bill, SB 999.
Missourians already decided that personal, private, family decision-making, like abortion, belongs between families and doctors, not with government and politicians.
So-called “born alive” bills cruelly strip away grieving parents' ability to make decisions with their doctors about what compassionate care is best for their family and their faith. This is all while targeting people who have and provide abortions in order to get closer to their long-term goal: banning and criminalizing all abortions.
Last time this bill was heard in this committee more than 400 Missourians submitted testimony in opposition–let’s make that double!
