Yesterday you all elected me as the Circuit Attorney of the City of St. Louis, and I am really grateful for all your support. When I was first asked to serve, I thought it would just be for a short time, but doing this work made me realize that we need continuous stable leadership. I hope to make you all proud and to continue to make our city safer for all.

Thank you to Alderwoman Daniela Velazquez and Alderwoman Shameem Clark Hubbard for hosting their Domestic Violence Awareness Month Town Hall. As Circuit Attorney and a father, this issue is something that is very important to me. I also want to thank Assistant Circuit Attorney Rondalyn Harris for sharing her experiences as an SLMPD detective and now as an ACA in the Special Victims Unit at the CAO.

Tomorrow is Halloween- what's a better way to celebrate it than with St. Louis City Fire Department's "Falloween" Safety Fair?! It was so much fun to see everyone's costumes and hear some Halloween jokes. However, I will NEVER be going back in the bucket of a Hook and Ladder to toss out candy ever again- this Circuit Attorney will be keeping his feet firmly on the ground. 🎃

I had a wonderful time speaking with Carol Daniels on her podcast "Listen St. Louis." Carol is truly such a special person who always hosts an informational and interesting podcast. I was glad to have the opportunity to highlight the work my office has been doing to increase public safety while rebuilding the community's trust. Thank you to Carol for allowing me to talk your ear off!

Members of the Circuit Attorney's Office and I celebrated Constitution Day with students from Metro High Schoo and 22nd Circuit Judge Nicole Gilbert-Botchway. This collaboration was inspired by 21st Circuit Judge Thomas Albus.

Last month I had a great time speaking at a "fireside chat" hosted by Carolyn Kindle, president and CEO of City SC. I really enjoyed being able to talk to Downtown business owners and stakeholders about how we can continue to make our city safer. I always like to say that despite the negative attention it gets, Downtown is relatively safe. Whether you're heading out to dinner, going to see a show, or attending a City or Cardinals game, Downtown is great place to be.

Before school was back in session we had the opportunity to support one of our community partners, Ms. Marsha and her team at "Child and Family Empowerment" (CAFE)! In collaboration with STLFD we were proud to support all the work CAFE does in making sure St. Louis kids have what they need.

Back in July I attended Tower Grove East Neighborhood Association's meeting. This has to be one of my favorite parts of being Circuit Attorney. It is wonderful to see people come together who care about their community. Each time I attend this event there is always at least one question about our diversion program, because they don't just care about their neighbors but everyone who lives, works, and visits our city.
