Swing by the Link Auditorium for a happy hour open house, 5/1 from 6-7 PM. Enjoy beer, wine and soda and light snacks while perusing the 118-year-old building, 500-seat auditorium, and ballroom and gallery featuring the Curious Nature Art Exhibit. RSVP to attend at thecwe.org

Ready to dance? Stay for a lesson with STL Swing from 7-8 ($15 fee) and after that, the 7-piece band, STL Swing Harmonists, will be kicking up some 1930’s - inspired dancing tunes until 11PM!

Mix, mingle, and celebrate the FINAL weekend of Charles Houska: Master of Play at the World Chess Hall of Fame & Galleries.

Enjoy appetizers and cocktails, courtesy of Brennan’s, and take a tour of this fun-filled exhibit that highlights one of Saint Louis’ most beloved pop artists. The exhibit marks the artist’s 60th birthday, and the 25th anniversary of his Central West End-based Houska Gallery.

Optional guided tours included with time for questions afterwards, and guests will enjoy 15% off in the gift shop from 6-7 pm.

Things are hoppin’ in the CWE! We had a great time at the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Kennedy Park! Kids found over 2,200 eggs and the Easter Bunny made her appearance. 🐰🌷See you again next year!

It’s almost time! Join us this Saturday, March 28th for the CWEA Easter Egg Hunt at Kennedy Park. Hunt starts at 3:00pm sharp. Please arrive by 2:45pm to line up. The Easter bunny may even make an appearance! 🐣🐇🌷

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! Help us prepare for the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Kennedy Park! 🐣March 21st, starting at 8 a.m. until around 2 p.m. No special tools are required, although extra rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows are always put to good use. Volunteers may want to wear gardening gloves if you have them. Come and go as you are available!

KATE CHOPIN BUST RETURNED! We just got word that a local found and returned the CWEA’s Kate Chopin statue to Left Bank Books. We appreciate everyone’s help in bringing Kate back home to the CWE.
