Last week, the Continuum of Care St. Louis City hosted its first State of Homelessness event at our Community Campus.
It was an afternoon of reflection with an eye toward the future as CoC members, elected officials, and community leaders shared insight on the state of homelessness in St. Louis and the work still ahead.
As the new lead agency for the St. Louis City CoC, PPCS is honored to help support and strengthen this collaborative work across our region. The conversations throughout the day reinforced the importance of partnership, compassion, and continued investment in solutions that ensure everyone has a safe place to rest and a path toward stability.
We are grateful to everyone who joined us for such a meaningful and motivating event. The energy in the room was a great reminder that lasting change happens when a community comes together in service to others.

Thank you Purina for taking such great care of our community through Purina Cares Day!
Their associates rolled up their sleeves at our Community Campus to help garden, clean up the grounds, and create a more welcoming environment for the people we serve every day.
This investment of time and care helps provide our residents with comfort, dignity, and safety as they work toward long-term stability. We are so grateful for your partnership and heart for the St. Louis community!

As many prepare to spend the holiday weekend with family and friends, we are thinking about the moments of connection that mean so much to those who may be missing loved ones while navigating homelessness. Holidays can be especially difficult, but they can also be a reminder that community shows up in powerful ways.
Recently, the Keeley Companies leadership team brought that spirit to life by hosting dinner at our Community Campus. Through warm hospitality, shared conversation, and delicious food, they hosted more than a meal. They created a sense of belonging.
To the Keeley team, thank you for showing our residents that they are seen, welcomed, and supported. Your generosity and leadership help create the kind of community where people can build stability, find hope, and feel at home.
We are grateful for every staff member, volunteer, and supporter who make this work possible every day.

Today marks the anniversary of the tornado that changed the lives of so many people across St. Louis.
In the immediate aftermath, we received a call. Did we have space, and could we help? Our answer was YES.
Our team sprang into action and prepared to welcome anyone we could who needed safety, shelter, and support during an incredibly uncertain time. We are grateful that our facilities were spared from major tornado damage that day, and we could be a part of the community response to this disaster.
Now one year later, recovery efforts continue for many of our neighbors. Today we remember the lives impacted and honor the resilience of our community.

Safety is always top of mind at PPCS. It touches every part of our work, from residents and shelter guests to staff and volunteers.
Our Safety Monitor team shows up every day with focus and care. Ongoing training helps make sure they are ready for whatever the day brings.
Recently, Chris Briggs, PPCS Safety Manager, led a de-escalation training for staff. These skills matter. We often meet people on some of the hardest days of their lives, and how we respond can make all the difference.
Thank you to our team members who walk alongside people facing homelessness on their journey to stability. You lead with dignity and respect, and you are helping people change their lives.
