One of Governor Kehoe’s signature priorities was advancing a long-term phaseout of Missouri’s individual income tax. Lawmakers ultimately approved the proposal in the form of a constitutional amendment that will now go before Missouri voter this fall.

SB 1410 modifies various provisions relating to property taxes by:
• Requiring earlier, more detailed notices when assessed valuations increase
• Showing projected tax liability + itemized information from taxing jurisdictions
• Revises deadlines for appeals to boards of equalization
• Authorizes counties to offer installment payment options for property taxes
