Crown Center for Senior Living

Part of what makes our Crown Center community special is the people who volunteer with kindness, generosity and the genuine care they bring each time they show up. We have over 90 regular volunteers who give their time working at our welcome desk, packing and delivering meals with our Meals on Wheels program, leading a cooking class, serve on our board or directors, sharing a smile, or simply taking the time to connect.

Here are a few photos from our recent volunteer recognition event, where board members, community volunteers and resident volunteers were recognized for their hard work and dedication.

As we reflect back on 2025, we are filled with gratitude for the generosity and partnership that made so much possible. Thanks to the support of our generous donors, Crown Center continued to provide affordable housing, nutritious meals, meaningful programs, and compassionate services that help older adults thrive.

Then spend time with CHAMP’s remarkable service dogs as they demonstrate their skills and teach us about the important roles assistance, therapy, and emotional support dogs play.

We recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the new Tallin Building, a major step forward in our mission to provide affordable, high-quality housing for older adults in our community.

When completed in summer 2027, the building will add 68 new one-bedroom apartments and covered parking, allowing us to welcome more older adults to Crown Center. We’re grateful to our residents, donors, community partners, board members, and friends who joined us to mark this important milestone.

Crown Center for Senior Living’s A Place to Call Home Campaign is raising critical support to expand and sustain affordable housing for low-income older adults in our community. We are deeply grateful to the many supporters who have already invested in this important work.

On May 7th, Crown Center was honored to accept a 2026 What’s Right with the Region award by FOCUS St. Louis in the category of Promoting Community Health and Well-Being. This recognition celebrates organizations that are improving the collective health and wellness of our region and addressing the social determinants of health. To be acknowledged alongside such outstanding regional leaders is a tremendous honor and an affirmation of the important work Crown Center carries out every day on behalf of older adults in our community. Joining us to accept the award were Crown board members, staff, and Crown residents.
