The Youth & Family Center is currently accepting proposals for interior renovation services at our facility located at 818 Cass Ave. in St. Louis, Missouri.

Project scope includes select interior demolition, HVAC renovations, ACT ceilings, interior painting, gym floor refinishing, and lighting replacement.

Celebrating Our YFC Scholars 🎓

This week, our Youth & Family Center After School Program held a special promotion ceremony recognizing students who made the honor roll and those advancing to the next grade level and educational milestones. We are incredibly proud of our scholars and the hard work, growth, and determination they showed throughout the school year.

Thank you to the families who trust us to support and care for their children each day, and to our dedicated staff who continue pouring into our youth academically, socially, and emotionally. The future is bright, and our students are growing by leaps and bounds.

Last week, the Youth & Family Center welcomed St. Louis media icon Bernie Hayes for a special event that brought energy, conversation, and community back to the building.

Originally postponed due to last month’s flooding, the event finally took place — and the atmosphere was vibrant from start to finish. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an inspiring afternoon celebrating connection, culture, and community at the YFC.

The Jazzy & Soulful Senior Program offers activities, classes, fitness classes, trips, and community for older adults across our region.

FREE COMMUNITY GIVEBACK FESTIVAL

Join us Saturday, May 23rd, at the Youth & Family Center for a fun-filled day of free food, live music, toys for kids, gift card giveaways, free t-shirts for the first 200 people, and more.

Registration opens at 1:30 PM, and the event begins at 3 PM at 818 Cass Ave., St. Louis, MO.

At the Youth & Family Center, wellness is part of the foundation of everything we do. Through our partnership with University of Missouri-St. Louis Center for Behavioral Health and IFM Community Medicine, our children recently participated in a mental wellness session focused on understanding emotions, building confidence, and developing healthy coping skills.

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to grow with a healthy mind, body, and spirit connection. Through our after-school program, we continue creating safe, supportive spaces where wellness, learning, and personal growth matter.

Our after-school program serves students in Kindergarten through 8th grade and operates Monday through Friday from 3:00pm–6:00pm.

The Youth & Family Center in St. Louis is facing nearly $300,000 in damages after experiencing two significant water main breaks in less than a month. The flooding has halted critical community programs and left parts of the building gutted.
