Our 8th graders had the privilege of listening to Board member Mayra Taylor-Garcia as she opened up about her Mexican-American heritage—sharing stories of family traditions, authentic food, and what identity means to her.

We are intentionally diverse by design, and we believe that learning directly from leaders who share their authentic self builds empathy, pride, and strong community roots.

All rise! Court is now in session.

Our eighth grade students brought Jason Reynolds' Long Way Down to life by putting the protagonist, Will, on trial. Using evidence directly from the book, student prosecutors, defense attorneys, witnesses, and jurors argued whether Will was guilty of murder or manslaughter.

Students showed impressive critical thinking skills and text analysis during the mock trials!

10 years of Camp Manitowa memories and counting! Outdoor adventures are officially underway in Benton, IL.

This annual outdoor education experience is an essential part of our student growth pipeline. Every 5th grader participates in team-building and outdoor skills in a safe and engaging environment.

A huge shoutout to our 5th graders stepping into a beloved tradition, our 8th grade Junior Counselors stepping into leadership, and our incredible LPA staff traveling alongside them. We cannot wait to hear all the camp stories when you return!
