𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙨𝙨 27 𝙤𝙛 𝙎𝙩. 𝙇𝙤𝙪𝙞𝙨 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙮❜𝙨 𝙀𝙢𝙚𝙧𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙢❗These seven graduates completed 4 months of training in the ECC and have begun their preliminary service on the 911 boards. They have demonstrated exceptional communication abilities, the capacity to remain calm under pressure, as well as possessing strong multitasking skills. Dispatchers serve as the critical lifeline for the public, responsible for answering emergency calls, gathering vital information, dispatching first responders, and providing pre-arrival instructions to callers while managing multiple simultaneous tasks.

Like our police program, 911 dispatch operations are 24/7/365. We are always looking for additional dispatchers. Due to the popularity of my previous Town Hall on the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) application process, I will be hosting another town hall on this topic at the end of this month. Joshua David Kramme, from Troop 631 out of St. Mark Presbyterian Church, earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout in December 2025, and had his Court of Honor last week. This is a significant achievement representing dedication, leadership, and commitment to the values of the Boy Scouts of America. I was proud to present him with a resolution from the St. Louis County Council honoring his achievement.

Joshua's eagle project was to build two benches made from recycled materials to be placed around his brother’s Eagle project—a Little Free Library—in the Oakleigh Woods Subdivision.

He held many leadership positions within the Troop and earned numerous other achievement awards while working his way up through the scouting ranks.

It is encouraging to see young people take on personal responsibility and leadership roles, and achieve the goals they set for themselves. They are the touch stone of strong communities and the future of America.

𝐊𝐢𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐤 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐩𝐢𝐩𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 - Work on this project will require the closure of Kiefer Creek Road in the location of the culvert, about 70 feet north of Castlewood Road, for the duration of construction. We anticipate a full closure of Kiefer Creek Road starting March 9, 2026, with completion by early April. Local residents are recommended to use New Ballwin Road to circumvent the closure.

𝐒𝐮𝐥𝐩𝐡𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐑𝐨𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 (Manchester Road to Big Bend Road) - This project provides for pavement, pavement repairs, curb ramp replacements, and installation of new curb ramps. Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) upgrades and traffic signal upgrades will be done. Construction expected to begin in late 2026.

If anyone in District 7 has friends or family who are in Mexico now and wondering what to do next, I received the following information from Congresswoman Wagner's office.

To receive important security updates, enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) at http://step.state.gov and follow , or the Whatsapp "U.S. Citizens in Mexico" channel.

Americans in Mexico can reach the Department of State 24/7 by calling 1-202-501-4444 (from outside the US) or 1-888-407-4747 (from inside the US or Canada.)

They can also find the latest security alerts on the Embassy's website: https://mx.usembassy.gov/category/alert.

Americans who are already in Mexico are advised to follow the same guidelines as US Government Employees.

→ Do not travel between cities after dark.
→ Only rely on dispatched vehicles from regulated taxi stands or app-based services like Uber or Cabify and may not wave down taxis on the street.
→ Avoid traveling alone, especially in remote areas.
→ Do not drive between Mexican border cities, the U.S.-Mexico border and the interior of Mexico.

Unless you've been off the grid entirely you know there is a winter storm headed our way. MODOT and County TPW have been out pretreating the major roadways. But with the extreme cold temperatures the effectiveness of that pretreatment will be limited. Once the snow starts to fall it is recommended that you remain at home and limit travel to emergencies only.

Have your emergency supplies ready for any eventuality, especially power loss. Ameren has asked elected officials to share the following information with constituents in advance of the storm.

Customers can report outages directly to Ameren Missouri either online at https://www.ameren.com/outages/main, via phone at 800.552.7583, or sign up for alerts and check the status of their restoration at Ameren.com. Customers can text REG to AMEREN (263736) to start. Put this number in your phone now in case your power or internet goes out during the storm.

Customers should share exact addresses and details (downed trees, limbs, or live wires, etc.) to help our crews restore power.

To ensure Ameren can provide you with the latest outage update, they must have your correct phone number or email address. Please create or log in to your Ameren account online to ensure your contact information is correct.

When reporting an outage, please use the phone number associated with the account. Entering a number that is not associated with the account will create an error message.

Customers can follow Ameren Missouri on Facebook and Twitter to get the latest information on what's happening with restoration efforts.

⚫ Avoid going outside and be aware of downed lines and poles if you must be outdoors.
⚫ Use a broom to keep natural gas meters and piping clear during the winter. Never use a shovel, ice chipper, pole or similar tool or even hit your natural gas meter or piping as this may damage equipment.
⚫ Be sure to check on elderly and disabled friends and neighbors.
⚫ Prepare an emergency kit with supplies (flashlights, radios, batteries, non-perishable foods, water, medicines, blankets, warm clothes, etc.) to use in the event of a storm.

If you do lose power during a winter storm, remember the following:
⚫ Turn off lights and unplug electronic or large appliances to prevent damage and overloading circuits once the power is restored.
⚫ Keep faucets on at a drip to prevent pipes from freezing.
⚫ Dress warm and in layers.
⚫ Close doors to unused rooms in the house.
⚫ Be cautious when using alternative heat sources, follow manufacture safety instructions, and keep rooms properly ventilated.
⚫ Keep phones and electronics charged when storms are in the forecast.
⚫ Follow all recommended precautions if using a personal generator. Never use a generator inside your home, garage, crawl space, other enclosed areas, or anywhere exhaust fumes can enter enclosed spaces. Never connect a generator to your home’s circuits. Plug appliances directly into the generator.
