It took 11 guerilla cart loads of yard waste to clean the sidewalk and tree lawn in front of the church! Thanks Mike, Francesca, and Sarah for cleaning up after Norm used his brush cutter to cut the tree lawn! I can't imagine how many it would take to do the entire property. Absentee owners MUST be held accountable for leaving this entire mess like it is.

This past Wednesday, our alderwoman joined us for a walk with Marine Villa residents. Neighbors had a great opportunity to speak with Ms. Antwi and point out important issues in our community. If you are interested in joining us we meet every Wednesday at 6:30pm - check our Facebook events page for more information!

Don’t forget Monday 5/18 is the May neighborhood meeting (one week early due to the Memorial Day holiday)! No agenda for this one.

We’re BBQ’ing up some burgers and hot dogs in the Rita Ford parking lot. We’ve got the sides, you bring your lawn chair, cooler, and your own drinks. Come mingle with your neighbors! Edit: if it’s raining, the barbecue will still go on, we will just eat inside.

The work at the fountain is complete! Look how pretty she is 😊. A big Thank You to all of our neighbors and volunteers. Did you know that MVNA also has adopted the 2 bus stops surrounding the fountain? A few dedicated neighbors help keep the stops clean and we are looking for more people to help! If you are interested, please DM us or email [email protected]!
