This Sunday! The Field House Museum will welcome author and historian Dr. John Wright Senior.

Dr. Wright will discuss his book, Carondelet, and explore the storied past of one of St. Louis’ oldest neighborhoods. With a history of diversity, Carondelet was the home of a large population of African Americans and Irish, German, and Italian immigrants whose stories the Carondelet community continues to preserve. Join us at the Field House Museum as we dive into the history of St. Louis with one of its most passionate storytellers!

This program is completely free, but availability (both in-person and on Zoom) is limited. So, reservations must be made in advance on our website (link in bio) or by calling the Museum at 314-421-4689.

Some of the most exciting days here at the Field house are when someone comes in with Field family items that we've never seen before, and just recently, we got a new donation of Field family books and ephemera in the form of the Masinelli collection. It's time for another Field House Friday interview!

For this Field House Friday, I want to introduce you to someone very near and dear to our hearts here at the Field House Museum: our exceptionally talented and generous volunteer, Dana Larson. Dana is a former middle school history teacher, who received a Bachelor’s in History, a Master’s in Historical Studies, and completed coursework (all but dissertation) for a PhD in history. At the Field House Museum, she helps out with all sorts of projects, from research to exhibit preparation. So, I sat down to talk with her about her work here at the Field House and her background in history.
