Children's Permanency Partnership (CPP) endeavors to provide permanency and safety for children through our foster care, case management, resource development and adoption services. Since its inception in 2005, the Children’s Permanency Partnership (CPP) has played a crucial role in serving the foster care needs of St. Charles and Jefferson County. By expanding its services to Washington County in 2020, CPP has broadened its reach to ensure that even more children and families in the foster care system receive the support they need. CPP’s presence in these regions has been instrumental in addressing the unique challenges faced by children in foster care, such as the scarcity of permanent placements and the complex needs of families in crisis. CPP effectively accomplishes its mission of providing permanent placements through a combination of strategic partnerships, evidence-based practices, and community engagement. By collaborating with local agencies, social workers, and the judicial system, CPP works to streamline the process of the alternative care system for all families. This includes working closely with biological families to facilitate reunification whenever possible, as well as identifying and preparing adoptive families or guardians. Moreover, CPP is deeply committed to supporting both children and families throughout the process. This holistic approach ensures that families have the resources they need to maintain stability and provide a nurturing environment. By remaining actively involved with families after placement, CPP helps to prevent re-entry into the foster care system, thereby achieving its goal of creating lasting, positive outcomes for children in the regions it serves.

💙💚 Stronger Together at Children’s Permanency Partnership! 💚💙

In September, our Children’s Permanency Partnership team stepped away from our day-to-day responsibilities to spend time together, build connections, and strengthen our teamwork during our staff team-building retreat!

It was a wonderful opportunity to recharge, share ideas, celebrate the people behind the work, and remember that the heart of everything we do is supporting children and families. The work we do can be challenging, but having a team that encourages, supports, and learns from one another makes all the difference.

We’re grateful for our dedicated staff and the passion each person brings to our mission of creating brighter futures for children and families. 💙

Here’s to growing together, supporting one another, and continuing to make a difference — one child and one family at a time!

The Power of Family Connection 💙

For children in foster care, staying connected to family can provide a sense of identity, belonging and continuity during a time of change.

Kinship caregivers — including grandparents, relatives and other adults with meaningful connections to a child — can help children remain connected to the people, traditions and communities that matter to them.

This month, Children’s Permanency Partnership recognizes the important role of kinship caregivers and the lasting impact of keeping children connected to family.

Because strong connections can help create brighter futures. 💙
