Tomorrow, we gather.
We can’t wait to witness what happens when stories are honored out loud, when people pause to listen more deeply, and when lived experience is centered not as an afterthought, but as truth, insight, and leadership.
2B Heard: When Stories Take Root is almost here, and we are looking forward to an afternoon of storytelling, reflection, connection, and conversation that moves us beyond awareness and toward action.
From the gallery experience to the panel to roundtable dialogue, this gathering was designed to help us feel, witness, and carry something forward together.
We only have a handful of tickets left before we sell out.
Join us while there is still space. 🌿

Black Maternal Health Week is a time to tell the truth.
Black motherhood is more than a single moment.
It is a journey — and too often, parts of that journey go unseen, unsupported, and carried alone.
Before birth, many Black women experience:
• fertility challenges
• infertility
• IVF and treatment decisions
• pregnancy loss
• navigating systems that don’t always see or support them
And here in St. Louis, Black infants are 3x more likely to die than white infants.
This is why this week matters.
And it’s why this month matters.
This April, we’re lifting up the full story through our GiveGHDay campaign:
What We Carry: Because Birth Is Not the Beginning.
Because the journey doesn’t start at birth.
And support shouldn’t either.
This isn’t just about awareness.
It’s about recognizing the full journey, and building systems that support Black mothers and babies every step of the way.
If this resonates with you, here’s one simple way to take action:
👉 Share this post to help expand awareness

Because no one should have to carry this journey alone.

LOVE & LEGACY UPDATE: We’re at 47% 💛
We’re almost halfway there!
This isn’t just a number.
It’s education and advocacy.
It’s parents who feel held instead of alone.
It’s care that shows up on-time and with dignity.
It’s a community saying: we don’t leave families behind.
Right now, we’re 47% to our Love & Legacy Campaign goal with 1 week + 4 days left.
Momentum matters in the final stretch.

Love looks like showing up...before the crisis, not just during it.
This week is our WEEK OF LOVE for Love & Legacy, and we're starting with this:
When we talk about maternal and infant health, we’re talking about people...not statistics.
Love is:
💛 a provider who listens the first time
💛 a community that doesn’t let a mom carry everything alone
💛 culturally responsive care that protects dignity
💛 support that continues after the baby is born
💛 systems built to hold families, not test their limits
At Generate Health STL, we believe love is a legacy we can build on purpose...through action, investment, and community voice.
💛 If you’ve ever been supported through pregnancy, postpartum, or parenting—drop a word below that describes what helped most (or what you wish you had).
Your story matters. Your perspective matters. Let's make space for both.

Awareness isn’t the finish line. Protection is.
In this conversation, Johnson & Johnson Senior Medical Director Robyn R Jones and journalist Mara Schiavocampo speak honestly about the systemic barriers Black mothers continue to face, and why closing racial disparities in maternal health requires more than attention. It requires accountability, investment, and care that holds over time.

At Generate Health, this is why Love & Legacy isn’t just about raising funds. It’s about strengthening the ecosystem that protects Black mothers before, during, and after birth.
Because love that lasts shows up consistently.
And legacy is built when communities choose responsibility, not silence.

Love isn’t just something we feel.
It’s something we protect.
This month, as we launch our Love & Legacy campaign, we’re also lifting up an important conversation on maternal health, advocacy, and the systems that shape outcomes for Black mothers.
🎧 In this episode of St. Louis on the Air, local birthing advocates — including Generate Health’s COO, Lora Gulley — and medical professionals speak honestly about protecting Black maternal health and the role shared responsibility plays in care.

Love is a legacy.
And legacy is built through care, protection, and shared responsibility.
This February, we’re launching Love & Legacy, a values-centered campaign honoring Black love by supporting Black maternal and infant health.
Because Black mothers deserve more than awareness.
They deserve safety, dignity, and systems that show up.
If this resonates, we invite you to participate by giving what you can, or sharing what you believe.
