Wanted to share some of the photos from our office of the 1993 flood. The volunteers worked endlessly filling sandbags to keep the river from cresting over the banks.The levee was breached and the water devastation turned the lemay area into a river and access by boat was the only way around. The damage was so severe that top elected officials came to the area to survey the damage and figure out what they could do to rebuild. Hoping this weeks incoming waters can not break through the flood walls.
