It was a beautiful fall day to celebrate our Eagles and continue this special tradition of promoting safe, healthy, and drug-free choices.

A big thank-you to our community members and the Office of Stafford County Sheriff - David "DP" Decatur, Sheriff for their continued support of the D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program. Together, we’re making a difference!

In Stafford Schools, capital projects are long-term investments in school buildings, facilities, and infrastructure. These projects help address aging facilities, improve learning environments, and accommodate current and future student enrollment.

Our Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) outlines two main categories of projects:

✅ Large Capital Projects: Projects costing at least $500,000 with a useful life of 10 years or more. Examples include constructing new schools, adding classrooms or facilities, completing major renovations, and replacing aging buildings or critical systems.

✅ Repair, Replacement, and Renovation (3R) Projects: Improvements that help maintain and extend the useful life of existing facilities. Examples include roof replacements, paving, safety and security upgrades, and improvements to interior and exterior spaces.

Over the next few weeks, we are going to cover some commonly asked questions regarding the Federal Impact Aid Grant. First up: who does Impact Aid apply to?

Impact Aid provides federal supplemental educational funding to school divisions that serve students whose parents live or work on federal property. This may include:

📍Children of active duty service members
📍Children whose parents work on eligible federal property
📍Students who live on federal property or in federally subsidized housing.

To help Stafford County Public Schools qualify for this important funding, parents and guardians are asked to complete the annual Impact Aid survey to verify their eligibility.

The deadline to return the completed survey to your child's school is Friday, November 20, 2026. We encourage families to submit their forms as soon as possible!

Learn more about Impact Aid at www.nafisdc.org.

Thank you for helping us secure this vital funding for our schools!

Every student deserves to feel safe, respected, and supported at school.

This year, Stafford Schools is strengthening its focus on kindness, belonging and respectful relationships. As part of this work, students will learn about the difference between rude behavior, conflict, and bullying.

These situations are different, but every concern deserves attention. Students do not need to decide what to call a situation before asking for help.

We encourage families to talk with their child: What can you do when something feels hurtful or unsafe? Who are the trusted adults you can turn to at school?

Together, we can help every student feel seen, supported, and ready to learn.
