🚒 EXCITING NEWS FOR THE STAFFORD COMMUNITY! 🚒

We are excited to share a major milestone for the Stafford Fire Department and the communities we proudly serve!

Through a collaborative partnership between the City of Stafford and Fort Bend County, an agreement was reached to provide the Stafford Fire Department with a new fire apparatus in exchange for 10 years of continued fire protection coverage to a designated rural area of Fort Bend County.

This agreement is an example of two local governments working together to make responsible use of public resources while strengthening fire protection services for their communities. By sharing resources and building on an existing commitment to regional fire protection, both jurisdictions benefit from an investment that supports long-term public safety. Most importantly, this partnership directly benefits the residents and businesses that depend on our firefighters every day. Recently, Fort Bend County Fire Marshal Jurek joined members of the Stafford Fire Department's Apparatus Committee for the final inspection of our new pumper.

This inspection represents an exciting milestone, but it is also a critical step in ensuring the apparatus meets the specifications and operational expectations established throughout the project. Countless hours of planning, research, design, and collaboration have gone into making this apparatus a reality. This isn't just another fire truck. This is a fire truck designed specifically for Stafford.

From the emergency lighting and paint scheme to the compartment doors, pump configuration, equipment layout, and overall look and functionality, every detail was carefully considered. Our firefighters invested their time, knowledge, and experience into designing an apparatus that meets the unique needs of our department and the community we serve.
Every decision was made with one purpose in mind: to place a safe, reliable, and effective piece of equipment in the hands of our firefighters so they can perform their jobs efficiently and effectively when every second counts.

Projects like this do not happen overnight. They require cooperation, thoughtful planning, fiscal responsibility, and a shared commitment to doing what is best for the people we serve. We sincerely appreciate the partnership between the City of Stafford and Fort Bend County, the involvement of Fire Marshal Jurek, and the dedication of our Apparatus Committee and everyone who contributed to bringing this project together.

We look forward to sharing more as we get closer to placing this new pumper into service!
Built for Stafford. Designed by our firefighters. Made possible through partnership. Dedicated to protecting our communities. Fort Bend County Fire Marshal's Office, City of Stafford

Tip 5: “For tools and rides, charge outside.” Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they fail.

Tip 3: “If it feels hot, stop using it.” Stop using your device right away if the battery smells strange, is warm to the touch, makes popping noises, changes in shape or color, or if you see smoke. If it is safe, move the device away from anything that can catch fire. A damaged battery can overheat and start a fire.
