Unity Day is a powerful reminder during National Bullying Prevention Month that kindness and inclusion matter most 💛

October gives us the chance to shine a light on the impact of bullying and hazing, which too many children face as the school year unfolds. This day calls on all of us - students, parents, educators, and community members - to come together with courage and compassion.

By uniting, we can create safe, supportive spaces where every child feels valued. Let’s stand strong, spread kindness, and put an end to bullying… together! ✨

We had an amazing turnout for our client shopping day this past Friday! Families were able to shop for clothing, baby items, coats, books, car seats, highchairs, and so much more. It was wonderful to see so many donated items find new homes! 👚👖

Help for Kids wants to extend a very special and heartfelt THANK YOU to Clothes To Kids of Fairfield County and Double Exposure for their incredibly generous donations recently and for providing the majority of the clothing for the shopping event! Your generosity gave our families access to a wonderful variety of clothing and shoes for adults, children, and babies. We truly appreciate your continued support and the impact your donations have on the families we serve. Our event would not have been possible without you! Thank you for helping us make our event such a success and for giving so many items a second home with families in our community! ✨

We also want to thank all of the generous donors in our community who have donated throughout the past several months. From baby clothes and coats to cribs, highchairs, car seats, and other essential items, every donation makes a difference. Because of your generosity, these items were able to find new homes and directly support local families! 💙

Thank you to everyone who helped make our event such a success! We are so grateful for a community that continues to show up for local families. We can’t wait to do more shopping events like this in the future! 🛍️

Since 1989, October has been recognized as National Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜 This month, we stand with survivors of domestic and intimate partner violence, while raising awareness for those still facing it today.

Domestic violence impacts every community - regardless of age, income, gender, race, or background. It’s not only physical; emotional abuse and controlling behaviors are also forms of harm that can create lasting effects, even across generations.

Together, we can break the cycle, support survivors, and build stronger, safer communities. Let’s raise our voices and stand united! 🎗️ DVCC
