My City Family,

I don't get on here often to post anything personal and I know that there are a lot of things that can be said about property tax and this time of year. I'm not popping on to debate that. What I do want to say is how much I truly love this time of year and a special lady reminded me of that just a moment ago. Thank you Peggy Lair.

I may only get to see some of you one time a year, but those visits truly bring me such joy!

I want you to know that I consider being your City Clerk a true honor and I am so proud to call this amazing City my home.

Jone Allen,
Your Certified Kentucky Municipal City Clerk

Continuing to recognize his legacy of service! Mayor Miller set the bar high for the citizens of Stanford and we are forever grateful for the example he set.
He welcomed all with open arms to Stanford, not just at City Hall but everywhere he went. You may have started out as a stranger, but you always left being seen, heard and known.

“I was especially happy that we could honor Dalton Miller,” said Cross. “During his two-year fight with colon cancer, he would undergo chemotherapy one day and would be back at work the next day. He carried a lot of strength. He also loved Lindsey Wilson and the Adair County community. He will be missed.”

◾️LINDSEY WILSON UNIVERSITY HOMECOMING 2026 TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 2ND-7TH◾️

Now that our days are becoming shorter your Stanford Police Department will be canvasing the community for streetlights that may not be working properly.

If you know of a streetlight in the city that is not working properly, please contact us at City Hall at (606)365-4500 or message us on our Stanford City Hall page and let us know the address so that we can contact the proper electric service to have it repaired.

NOTE: If the poles are marked with a yellow ribbon, they have been turned in.

Thank you!
