In partnership with the Powell County Public Library and Powell County Schools, we were excited to bring the Healthy Harvest Show to students at Bowen Elementary and Stanton Elementary! 🌽🍎

Through this fun and educational experience, students learned about the importance of eating fruits and vegetables every day and how these nutritious foods help their bodies grow, stay strong, and feel their best! 💪🍓🥦

We love partnering with our local schools and community organizations to help children build healthy habits that can last a lifetime

Please join us in recognizing 5 amazing team members who have reached their 5-year work anniversaries with the Powell County Health Department!

Amy and Renee started earlier through Go Hire (staffing agency) but officially moved over to the merit system on 7/1/21.
Robin started on 8/23/21, Ray on 9/6/21 and Rae’Chell on 10/18/21.

It hasn’t been an easy 5 years in public health and we are grateful for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to serving the health and well-being of our county. Thank you for all you do! ❤️
