We are so proud to honor Teresa Scheese as one of our MAISD Wagon Pullers. Teresa is our payroll manager and she will be retiring in December. We will miss her tremendously. Pictured on the right, Tricia Root, MAISD Associate Superintendent of Finance and HR, presented Teresa with her red wagon and, in her tribute, she said, "As you near retirement, the weight of your wagon will lessen, but it will never be forgotten! The countless hours working nights, weekends, and holidays has not gone unnoticed." Yes, it is true. Teresa has given endlessly to making sure our staff is paid with accuracy and efficiency and on time. We are so grateful for her dedication and commitment to MAISD. Thank you to Teresa for being a wagon puller, and one of the best without a doubt! will not be the same without her!

Montcalm Area ISD shares a shout of gratitude to Karlie Welsch, MAISD Data Integration Specialist, who was recognized as one of our MAISD Wagon Pullers. Karlie was honored with her red wagon by Brandon Richmond, MAISD Director of Technology, for her knowledge, accuracy, and expertise in the work she does with data management and systems support. MAISD continues its Red Wagon Celebrations as we honor Ashley Reisbig, Educational Careers teacher at The Montcalm Area Career Center - The MACC. She was presented with her red wagon by Shannon Tripp, MAISD Associate Superintendent of CTE and building principal at The MACC. Shannon praised Ashley for her willingness to do anything she is asked and always going the extra mile. She provides additional support for students from other programs and welcomes them into her classroom. This year, Ashley is mentoring two teachers and continues to serve as a building sub when needed. She took on an expanded role when the new Career Development Model was released and worked to define that role. Ashley is adaptable to whatever is needed to make Montcalm Area Career Center a great place for students. We are proud to have her on .

Our MAISD Instructional Services team has been having a blast participating with our local districts at their community events to spread the word about our new attendance awareness initiative. Bus drivers are one of the most important school employees in the district. They are entrusted with safe transport for students to and from school and on the fun journeys they take for field trips and other events throughout the year. Montcalm Area ISD has several opening for bus drivers and we would welcome a conversation with anyone wishing to learn more. We will even provide training to acquire the CDL certification. The Montcalm Area ISD Principals Network kicked off this year with collaborative leadership meetings at Montabella Elementary School and Lakeview High School. Over 20 building leaders had an opportunity to network, share ideas, and gather resources in these AMAZING educational spaces! Thank you to Montabella Community Schools elementary principal Mike Moore and Lakeview High School principal Ashley Whalen for hosting.
