Mr. Louder we thank you so much for nominating us for this honor!
We are truly honored to be recognized in this way!
Cotton is an important part of Martin County’s history and remains just as vital today! We’re currently developing an exhibit in our Industry area to showcase its significance. While locals know how much cotton means to our community, we want visitors from near and far to understand its importance, too!
Stop in for a visit….and again thank you Johnny and thank you Deltapine! And thank you KBest for this feature!

READ ABOUT IT! Martin County Historical Museum Recognized Through National Cotton Industry Program
STANTON, Texas — The Martin County Historical Museum in Stanton has been selected as a recipient of Deltapine's 2026 Committed to Cotton Communities program, recognizing the museum's contributions to preserving local history and serving the community.
The program honors nonprofit organizations that make a positive impact in rural communities, particularly those with strong ties to agriculture and the cotton industry.
Stanton resident and cotton grower Johnny Louder nominated the Martin County Historical Museum, recognizing its role in preserving the history and heritage of Martin County.
The museum was among organizations selected in the Texas/West region as part of the nationwide initiative, which allows cotton growers to nominate nonprofit organizations making a difference in their communities.
Deltapine, a cottonseed brand, established the Committed to Cotton Communities program to recognize and support organizations that strengthen and sustain agricultural communities.
The recognition highlights the importance of preserving the region's agricultural heritage, including cotton farming's role in Martin County's development and economy.
While the announcement identified the museum as a program recipient, it did not specify whether the organization would receive a monetary award or the amount of any potential funding.
The Martin County Historical Museum preserves and shares the area's history with residents and future generations.
