Did you know that Medstar EMS has been in Baldwin County since 1978?!? 🚑

Medstar became a member of the Global Medical Response (GMR) team in 2016. In that same year, the AirCare 🚁 program was born! This year marks the 🔟 year anniversary of our program and our partnership with Medstar EMS. 🤝

Did you also know that we offer memberships to help combat the cost of transport? 🚑🚁 We have many members of our “family” in both Baldwin & Escambia County, as well as surrounding areas. We are also in a network provider with Blue Cross and Blue Shield! 📑

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family for the last 🔟 years. We appreciate YOU! 🫶🏻

🚁🩸 AirCare 3 is proud to partner with Ascension Sacred Heart and Escambia County EMS and Emergency Communications for the Summer Safe series! ☀️🌊

Throughout the program, participants learned important lifesaving skills, including Stop the Bleed, Hands-Only CPR, and water safety. ❤️‍🩹🫀🏖️

Knowing what to do in those first few critical minutes can make a huge difference before professional help arrives. We’re proud to help equip our community with the skills and confidence to respond when it matters most.

We hope these lessons help make our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches and communities even safer! 🌴🌊

Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this year’s Summer Safe series a success. We’re already looking forward to next year! 🚁💙

🚁 AirCare II spent the morning with the nursing students at Coastal Alabama Community College’s Brewton Campus, and what an impression they made on our crew!

These students asked thoughtful, insightful questions and showed such enthusiasm for learning. It’s clear they have bright futures ahead of them! 💙

Our crew enjoyed sharing a glimpse into the world of critical care transport medicine and discussing the important role it plays in serving our communities.

Thank you, Coastal Alabama Community College, for the invitation and for allowing us to spend time with your future nurses. We’re already looking forward to our next visit! 🚁🩺

Our quarterly SIM lab looked a little different for our med crews this time. Our crews braved the extreme heat (ALL DAY🥵), rain ☔️and mud while learning various skills needed in a survival situation.

We’d like to give a huge shout out to Sam & Ed with Twin Hawks Survival for our extremely informative classes on survival skills including fire starting 🔥, shelter building🏕️, water filtration & safety 💧. Our crews also had a friendly little competition to see who could gather supplies, build a fire and boil a pot of water the fastest. 🏅

Our medical simulation stations 🩺 also tested us in real world situations we encounter daily. Our patients were poolside & in the back of an ambulance. 🚑

This may have been our favorite SIM yet!
