Rob Roberson serves as the Representative for the Mississippi House of Representatives, District 43

Businessman and attorney Rob Roberson is a Republican candidate for the Mississippi House of Representatives in the 43rd District. The newly created district includes Oktibbeha County and a portion of Winston County.

“I believe strongly in serving and giving back to our community, and I believe that my experience in the military, legislature and the private sector, has given me the depth of experience that I will need to effectively serve the citizens of Oktibbeha and Winston counties and the state of Mississippi,” -Rob Roberson

Roberson owns and operates Roberson Law Firm and Bulldog Development LLC. He graduated from Starkville High School and Mississippi State University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and received his Juris doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. Roberson previously served in the legislature as Representative of the 37th district.

Rob and his wife Karen of 19 years have four children: Kelly, Marley, Jack and Eli.

Before Elizabeth “Lake” Little was born, her mother, Pattie Little, saw a sign on the side of the highway for Lake, Mississippi. She liked the name enough to give it to her daughter.

I’m excited to see Southwire continue to invest in Starkville and create more good paying jobs for our community. This is a big win for Starkville and Oktibbeha County, and it’s great to see companies choosing to grow right here in our community. I’m proud to be part of a state that is creating an environment where businesses can grow and Mississippians can build a better future.

Southwire, a wire and cable manufacturer, is expanding its operations in Starkville with an investment of more than $256 million.

The expansion will create 128 jobs.

I was excited to attend the ribbon-cutting ceremony today at the Golden Triangle Regional Airport for it’s terminal expansion and new jet bridge. Investing in our means of transportation means investing in job growth, stronger economic growth, and better connectivity for our entire region. Mississippi's Education Enhancement Fund (EEF) provides public K–12 teachers with state funding to purchase essential classroom supplies. To improve accessibility and streamline the purchasing process, the Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) transitioned from physical procurement cards to the ClassWallet digital wallet platform, giving teachers faster and more convenient access to the funds they need for their classrooms.

We understand that some business owners and educators have expressed concerns regarding the implementation of the new program.
