We are overwhelmed with gratitude after Chefs on Stage yesterday! A heartfelt thank you to the amazing volunteers, generous sponsors, dedicated staff, enthusiastic attendees, and talented chefs who came together to make the evening such a success.

We’re still totaling the funds raised, but it is already clear that your generosity will go a long way in sustaining Jana Marie Foundation’s prevention programs and ensuring equitable access to lifesaving mental health and su***de prevention education. Your support helps us reach young people, equip adults with the tools to recognize when someone may be struggling, and remind individuals and families that they are not alone. 💚💜

This past week, our President and founder, Marisa, had the opportunity to travel to Arizona for a grief and loss conference focused on su***de loss, led by Alan Wolfelt.

Knowing our communities are stronger when we work together, Marisa invited Evelyn, our Survivor of Su***de Loss Support Group Facilitator, and team member of The Tides Program to join her.

And wow! The experience did not disappoint.

The conference offered insight into how we can be present in our own grief and create spaces where we can come together to mourn, connect, and support one another.

Feeling energized, inspired, and deeply grateful for this opportunity, both organizations are ready to bring back what we’ve learned to our communities and continue this important work together.

Because healing happens in connection, and no one should have to navigate grief alone. 💜💚

Remember, if you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, help is available. Call or text 988 - 24/7 - to reach the su***de and crisis lifeline.

Check out the incredible support tree, created by students in Park Forest Middle School's Autism Support Classroom! Each student thought about the people and activities they go to for support and wrote or drew their favorites on a leaf (with added stickers and washi tape for style points, of course).

This is one of the many in-school groups we'll be running this year. Jana Marie Foundation partners with several local middle and high schools to offer free small group experiences that help students build confidence, manage stress, strengthen peer relationships, and identify trusted adults they can turn to for support. In these weekly groups, students create art projects and engage in discussions that help them develop practical skills to support their mental health in a welcoming, engaging environment.

During the 2025-2026 school year, our team ran 14 small groups in five school districts! We’re excited to continue building connections and creating opportunities for students to learn, grow, and thrive. To learn more about our programs, check out our calendar of events on the JMF website.

Our impact continues to grow! We are thrilled to share that WWC-CC presented $14,200 to our Q3 Impact Award recipient, Jana Marie Foundation.

Jana Marie Foundation works to promote mental well-being, particularly among young people and the communities that support them. Through meaningful conversations, creative expression, education, and community connections, the Foundation works to transform emotional distress into resilience and hope. This generous donation will help support Jana Marie Foundation’s important work to raise awareness, reduce stigma, build connections, and provide resources that promote mental wellness in our community through their programs for children and teens.

Another incredible impact made possible because of our amazing members! Thank you to each of you who continues to show up, give back, and help Women Who Care make a difference. Together, we are changing lives right here in our Centre County communities!
