Oceanic Hook & Ladder Co.No.1

We would like to wish a Happy 145th Anniversary to NYC’s oldest active volunteer fire company, Oceanic Hook & Ladder Co.No.1 of the Travis section of Staten Island. Oceanic was organized on April 17th, 1881 and continues to protect life and property in their neighborhood today. They also hold the distinction of residing in the 2nd oldest continuously active firehouse in all of NYC, second only to FDNY Engine 26 in Manhattan. Congratulations Brothers.
