Today was a beautiful reminder of what community looks like. 💙

Our 8 high school graduates were showered with love, encouragement, gifts, and support as friends, family, staff, volunteers, and community members came together to celebrate this incredible milestone. From practical items for their next chapter to heartfelt words of wisdom and pride, every act of generosity reminded our graduates that they are not walking into the future alone.

To everyone who donated, attended, encouraged, cooked, decorated, or simply showed up to cheer these graduates on: thank you for helping create a day they will never forget. 🎓✨

We are so proud of our 2026 graduates and excited to see where life takes them next!

Pops carp lake recently hosted us for a fun day of fishing. The kids had a great time learning about the sport. We had some very exciting catches! Thanks to Pops for the t-shirts, food, bait, fishing, and the whole experience! Thank you, too, to our volunteers who provided poles and gear to use.

💐 **Happy Mother’s Day** 💐

Today, we celebrate the women who nurture, guide, and show up with love in so many ways.

To our houseparents in our residential homes — thank you for the daily care, structure, and steady presence you provide. You create spaces where youth feel safe, supported, and at home.

And to our licensed foster care moms — Heidi, Lindsey, and Tiffany — we are so grateful for the love, patience, and commitment you pour into the children in your care. The impact you have on them is immeasurable.

Motherhood in our community takes many forms, and each of you plays a powerful role in shaping lives and building trust.

Today, we celebrate you. 💙

💙 May is National Foster Care Month 💙

In the United States, more than 390,000 children are in foster care on any given day. Most enter care due to neglect, abuse, or family instability—not because of anything they’ve done.

Across the country:
• The average age of youth in care is about 8 years old
• Over 20,000 young people age out of foster care each year without permanent families
• Older youth are least likely to be placed and most at risk for homelessness and unemployment

Behind every number is a child who deserves safety, belonging, and a future full of possibility.

🎨💙 A heartfelt thank you to Leadership Statesville and Greater Statesville Chamber of Commerce for including our youth and young adults in your recent service project!

Our residents had the opportunity to paint ceiling tiles that will soon brighten the pediatric floor, bringing color, creativity, and encouragement to children and families during their hospital stay. What a meaningful way to serve others while allowing our young people to give back to the community through their talents.

We are grateful for partnerships like this that remind our residents they have so much to offer—and that small acts of kindness can make a big difference. Thank you for helping create moments of hope and healing. 💙✨
