An update on the escaped mustangs in Iredell County: Thanks to the coordinated efforts of Iredell County Animal Services, the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, and the State Highway Patrol, seven of the 10 wild mustangs that escaped on May 11 have been safely captured.

As we work to bring the remaining three horses in safely, we need the community’s help:
🛑 Please do not attempt to capture or approach them. Sudden contact can easily startle these wild mustangs, which could drive them into oncoming traffic or other dangerous areas. Let the professionals handle the recovery.
📞 Report any sightings immediately to Animal Services or local law enforcement so our teams can respond.
