Mr. Brown, Media Coordinator at Troutman Middle School, was awarded the North Carolina Farm Bureau Ag in the Classroom Going Local Grant! Through this opportunity, the TMS Academic Booster Club will be creating an outdoor classroom designed to connect agriculture with real-world learning experiences for our students.
We are incredibly thankful to the North Carolina Farm Bureau for investing in our students and supporting hands-on educational opportunities that help learning come to life beyond the classroom walls.

Please join us in congratulating Mr. Jon Weavil on his appointment as the next principal of Northview Academy!
Mr. Weavil brings a wealth of experience in education, having served as an Exceptional Children’s Teacher, case manager, Disability Services Coordinator, Behavior Support Specialist, facilitator, and administrative interim. Since joining Iredell-Statesville Schools in 2025 as assistant principal at Northview Academy, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to students, staff, and the school community.
We are fortunate to have a leader who already knows our students, understands our culture, and is deeply invested in helping every learner succeed. Mr. Weavil officially assumed his new role on June 1, 2026, and we look forward to seeing Northview Academy continue to thrive under his leadership.
Congratulations, Mr. Weavil!

The Brawley School Level 1 students in Mrs. Collins' Design classes put their entrepreneurial skills to work recently during their Shark Tank unit! The students were tasked with creating a new design for a fidget that would improve on current models. They worked in teams to brainstorm ideas, design a prototype, and then create a sales pitch. Parents and teachers played the role of the "sharks," allowing students to pitch their fidget ideas for "contracts."
Nice Work!
