🎆 Special Holiday Closure Announcement 🎆

The shelter will be closed to the public in observance of Independence Day on Friday, July 3.
Animal Control Officers will respond to animal‑related EMERGENCY‑ONLY calls during this closure.

The shelter will also be closed on Saturday, July 4.
On this day, Animal Control Officers will resume their regular summer schedule (8am–8pm) for routine calls, with emergency‑only response outside those hours.

🐾 There will be NO PetSmart adoption event on July 4.

🐾 Adoptions will be closed both days.

We wish everyone a safe and Happy Holiday — and we want to remind you that July 4th is the #1 day of the year for pets to go missing due to fireworks and loud noises.
Please plan ahead to keep your pets calm, secure, and safely indoors.

Every year, the days leading up to and following the 4th of July, shelters everywhere fill up with animals frightened by fireworks. ☹️🎆

Please put a phone number on your pet. You don't have to spend any money because you likely already have these things in your home!

Grab some tape (duct tape or painters tape works great), a sharpie or an ink pen and make this minimal effort to keep your pet from ending up at a shelter.

Even if you think there's no way they can or will escape your property, just do it.

Finding a stray animal with a phone number makes it SO SIMPLE to reunite them with their owner.

Let's make a difference this holiday and keep animals from ending up at the shelter.

If you are curious about calming medication for your pet, NOW is the time to see their vet!! Don’t wait!!

But from their social‑butterfly personalities, friendly greetings, and housebroken habits, you’d think they’ve been indoor dogs forever… and that’s exactly what they’re dreaming of now.
No more outside living — they’re ready for cozy couches, soft beds, and families who will love them for all their days.

When Taz met a similar‑sized spayed female, he went straight into “let’s wrestle!” and “watch my awesome zoomies!” mode. No hesitation — just pure, goofy excitement. This tiny sweetheart was found as a stray with no microchip and no ID tag, so there was no way to let a possible family know he was here. He appeared on our website like all strays… and still no one came. Now he’s officially ready to go HOME, and at just 10.20 pounds, he will always be a little guy — perfect for small‑dog lovers! 🐾💕

Louie is 8 years young and so ready to make the rest of his life the best of his life. He came in with other canine friends and got along great — they’ve all been adopted, and now it’s finally his turn. He LOVES to be held and would make the perfect lap companion. If you’re looking for a snuggly best friend, he’s your boy. 🥹🧡

Rocket came to us as an owner surrender after his previous family, caring for many dogs at once, could no longer give everyone the attention they deserved. Now this sweet, gentle boy is ready for a fresh start — and he’s already showing just how loving he truly is. 💛

This friendly little love bug lives up to his name… because the second we try to take a cute picture, he shoots off like a Rocket! 📸💨 But when he slows down? He melts right into you. His FAVORITE thing in the world is for YOU to love on him — chest scratches, cuddles, soft pets… he soaks it all up. 🥹💕

And for all the small‑dog lovers out there — Rocket is a petite pup at just 21.6 lbs! 🐾💛

He’s also getting more confident on the leash every day — a huge improvement from when he arrived.
