👟🐾 MEET NIKE & VAN — OUR LITTLE SHOE BANDITS TURNED ADOPTABLE CUTIES! 🐾👟
It seems a shoe mystery — a missing‑shoe caper, if you will — had been unfolding at the home of the finder of these two adorable pups. Shoes began disappearing from his porch at night, and the trash was being disturbed. Naturally, he suspected his own dog was the porch shoe thief… until one day, while outside in his yard, these two cuties came strolling along, and the truth was revealed: they were the shoe bandits!
He searched the neighborhood to see if these fellow shoe‑collectors belonged to anyone nearby. When he learned they didn’t, he brought them to us in hopes of reuniting them with a family—if they had one.
With no family coming forward during their stray hold and after being shared on our website, they are now ready to leave their porch‑shoe‑searching days behind and focus on the soles that truly matter: the ones belonging to their own forever families.
Nike and Van — yes, named perfectly after their love of shoes — will be available for adoption when we open tomorrow at 12pm.
They are likely littermates, full of personality, and absolutely thrilled at the chance to find homes of their own.
And between us… we still have no idea what they did with the shoes they collected!
If you can provide a home for either Nike or Van, we encourage you to come meet them in person to see which “shoe” fits your family best. With faces as cute as theirs, honestly, they could have any shoe of ours they wanted.

🐾✨ MEET MARIGOLD — READY FOR HER NEW BEGINNING! ✨🐾
Responding to a call from a concerned citizen about a beagle puppy likely dumped on her property, our Animal Control Officer arrived to find the caller sitting beside this sweet little girl on her front porch. The finder shared that Marigold was both friendly and gentle. 🌼
With no identifying tag or microchip, Marigold completed her full stray hold here at the shelter. After being posted on our website and receiving no contact from a possible family, this adorable puppy is now officially ready for her fresh start in life.
Estimated at 5 months old, Marigold is hoping to find the perfect family who can give her the forever love, care, and stability she deserves. She’s especially hoping tonight will be the last night she spends at the shelter—and tomorrow her first in a new home. 🏠❤
📍Come meet this precious girl in person, to see if you’re meant to spend forever together.
📍We are a first‑come, first‑served, in‑person adoption center and will open at 12pm tomorrow, and she will be available for adoption at that time.
📍For pets who receive a lot of interest, it is not uncommon for adopters to line up outside with chairs and snacks before opening.
📍Please do not comment or message us regarding her availability or temperament—come in person, as we are unable to hold any animal and she will be available when we open for adoptions tomorrow.

✨🐾 MEET SAINT — THE SWEETEST GENTLEMAN READY FOR HIS FRESH START! 🐾✨
Saint arrived at our shelter as a stray. When his previous owner saw his photo online, she reached out—heartbroken that she couldn’t reclaim him but incredibly grateful to know he was safe—and shared wonderful information to help him find his perfect match. 💛
✨ What We Learned About Saint’s Previous Life (Before Stray)
🐾 Age: 5 years old
👶 Kids: Lived with children ages 2–10 and did great
🐱 Cats: Has lived with cats and did wonderfully
We understand why she named him Saint—this gentle sweetheart truly lives up to his name. 💕
✨ What We’re Seeing at the Shelter
Saint is easy to leash and walk—though he sometimes pulls with a little “purpose”! He met a neutered male dog and did fantastic, sharing friendly sniffs, nonstop tail wags, and happy bounces.
He’s the kind of dog who can turn any bad day around: always happy, always sweet, and he’s won the hearts of our staff and volunteers alike. 💙
As always, we recommend meet‑and‑greets with other dogs and children before adoption.
🏡 Come Meet Saint! He might just be the newest member of your family.

✨🐶 MEET DJ — READY FOR HER NEW BEGINNING! 🐶✨
Found as a stray in a busy shopping area, DJ was brought to our shelter to get her to safety and to give any possible owner a chance to find her. With no microchip and no ID tag, she completed her required stray hold, and after being posted on our website, no owner came to reclaim her.
This beautiful girl met a smaller spayed female during her stay and did fantastic right from the start! She was friendly, ran right up to her new buddy, gave happy play bows, and showed off her incredible zoomie skills. DJ has been super friendly and goofy with every interaction we’ve had.
Once she settled in, her personality truly blossomed—and she is AMAZING. Sweet and silly…the perfect combination! She also loves playing with stuffies, knows “sit,” and is good on a leash (and improving every day!).
Because she was a stray, we do not know how she does with cats and are unable to test for this. As always, we recommend meet‑and‑greets with other dogs and children to make sure it’s a great fit for everyone.
Come meet this beautiful, calm, and sweet girl in person to see if she’s meant to spend forever with your family! 💛

🐾💙 MEET GIBSON: READY FOR HIS PERFECT MATCH! 💙🐾
Gibson was adopted from ICAS in mid‑May after coming to us as a stray, and now returns as an owner surrender after his adoptive family was unable to manage the nippiness he showed in the home. They shared that it always seemed like he wanted to play with their grandchildren, but for families unfamiliar with typical herding dog behaviors—which are common in border collie mixes like Gibson—it felt overwhelming.
💡 Important note: Gibson never broke skin when he nipped to play, but to ensure everyone’s safety, his family made the responsible choice to return him so we could help him find a home that truly understands his breed.
During his time with them, we learned some great things about Gibson:
🏠 Nearly housebroken
📦 Not crate‑trained
💗 Extremely lovable
🧠 Knows “sit” and “stay”
Now Gibson is searching for a family who understands herding breeds and can confidently navigate his playful nips. If you’re able to provide the home he’s been waiting for—and have experience with or willingness to learn about herding tendencies—please come meet this handsome, loving boy in person! 🐶✨
Adoption Fee: 8️⃣0️⃣
