This week’s Culture Athlete of the Week is Hadley York.

Her positive attitude, relentless work ethic, and self-discipline set the tone for those around her. She shows up every day ready to work, gives her ALL for her teammates, and holds herself accountable to the standards of our program.

She understands that being a Lady Indian is about more than just basketball. It’s about doing the right things, putting the team before yourself, embracing the hard work, and choosing to be your best even when no one is watching.

She doesn’t just meet the standard — she helps SET the standard! 💪

We are proud of the way she represents our team, our school, and our culture!

National Honor Society Change Wars
Get your change and dollars ready for November 4th-12th! Our National Honor Society students put on this single fundraiser; the money that is raised is used to buy Huckabay ISD students Angel Tree gifts for Christmas. Change containers will be in the cafeteria. For questions regarding NHS Change Wars reach out to our sponsor, Mrs. Normand.

JH and HS Cross Country were recognized at tonight’s Board Meeting.

JH Boys and Girls as well as HS Boys and Girls won the District Championship.

HS Boys and Girls will compete at the Regional Cross Country Meet on October 27 in Fort Worth.

Thank You for Your Service to Huckabay ISD!

At tonight’s Board of Trustees meeting, Huckabay ISD proudly recognized outgoing board members Cindy Shipman and Lance Brooks for their dedicated service to our district.

Serving on a school board requires time, commitment, and a genuine passion for education. Cindy and Lance have generously given their time, shared their leadership, and helped make important decisions that support our students, staff, and school community.

In a small district like Huckabay, strong leadership and community involvement make a lasting difference. We are grateful for their willingness to serve, their dedication to our school, and the positive impact they have made along the way.
