The Baseggio Family Pumpkin Patch is open for the season out in Atwood, just outside Sterling, and this year it's all pumpkin patch. No corn maze this fall, but plenty to keep the whole family busy. Pick your own pumpkin, send one flying from the pumpkin launch, let the kids loose on the bouncy house and slide, and find your perfect gourd to take home.

It's a Logan County fall tradition run by a local family, and it's worth the drive out to County Road 20.5. Check their page for current hours and dates before you go.

The Zombie Crawl is coming to Logan County Courthouse Square on Saturday, October 3! Get your best costume together and head to downtown Sterling for a free, family-friendly night hosted by the Logan County Arts League.

Here's how the night unfolds:

🎭 4 PM — Costume contest sign-in, all ages, awesome local prizes
🎃 4-5 PM — Pumpkin painting contest
💃 5 PM — Live Thriller performance by Melissa's School of Dance
🏆 5:30 PM — All winners announced
🎬 6:30 PM — Free screening of Goosebumps

The Northeastern Colorado Junk Jaunt is this weekend, October 2-4.

Spend a fun weekend exploring Northeast Colorado and a few of our wonderful small towns, including Merino, where there will be four places with treasures ready to sell.

Gravel riders, this is the month.

Logan County has more than 1,600 miles of unpaved road, and September is when it all comes good. Mornings are cool, the light runs low and long across the fields, and the summer heat is finished.

It is also harvest out here, so expect to share the road with combines and grain trucks. Give them room and they will do the same.

Sterling's biggest weekend of the year is here.

Sugar Beet Days takes over the Historic Logan County Courthouse Square this Saturday and Sunday with more than 200 food and craft vendors and two full days of entertainment.

Saturday, September 19, 9 AM to 6 PM
Sunday, September 20, 10 AM to 4 PM
Historic Logan County Courthouse Square, 315 Main Street, Sterling

A few things worth knowing. Come early Saturday for parking closest to the square. Bring cash for the vendor booths. Save room for the food row. Sunday is the calmer day if you would rather browse than crowd.
