It's Friday, which means Millie has an important delivery to make! 💐

As always, a big thank you to Lundstrom Florist for putting together a beautiful bouquet!

This week we were happy to surprise Kayla at Sterling High School. Her nomination states " I would like to nominate Kayla. She is a special education teacher at Sterling High School who teaches Sped Life Skills for ages 18-22.

She is so passionate about her job and her kiddos. She LOVES what she does and it shows.

She finished her associates, bachelors, and masters in 5 years and is now going for her doctorate, all so she can continue making a difference in the education kids receive!
She is so worthy of this award for all the love and hard work she pours into her students."

Thank you Kayla for everything that you do for your students!

If you would like to nominate someone for Paws and Petals, please comment on the post pinned on my page or send me a DM 🐾💐

My morning routine at April House Children's Advocacy Center before spending the day with new friends! 🐾

First, I run inside to say hello to the wonderful ladies who work here. Then, I make sure I have a Millie stuffy ready for my friend to take home. Once everything is ready, I settle onto my rug and keep a close eye on the door, waiting for my friend to arrive!

Flowers make every day better!

Each week, myself and Lundstrom Florist get to brighten someone’s day with a beautiful bouquet. Today, we were able to give Christine flowers that were generously donated by Lundstrom Florist.

Colleen's nomination states "Colleen is the hardest worker I know. She’s selfless, always willing to go the extra mile and will do anything she can for anyone."

We love receiving nominations for this program and hearing about all of the good and positive things you all are doing for our community!

It’s time for Paws and Petals! 🌸🐾

Each week, myself and Lundstrom Florist get to brighten someone’s day with a beautiful bouquet—and we love hearing the stories behind the nominations. Today was also extra special because one of our nominators was able to be there with us for the surprise! Today, we were able to give Christine flowers that were generously donated by Lundstrom Florist.

Christine received not one, but two nominations! The first one says "Christine Elston who owns Elston Psychotherapy PLLC in Sterling! She is amazing and such an inspiration. She goes above and beyond for her patients, friends, and anyone else’s lives she is able to touch! She has also helped coach sports for multiple years and kids love her!! She is an amazing person all around."

The second one says "I would like to nominate Christine Elston at Elston Psychotherapy PLLC.
As a Sterling native, Christine started her private practice here to bring much needed mental health resources to our community and help bridge a gap that she saw. She is very active in and gives back to the community, supporting city events. She is just all around a great person and deserving of some recognition 🌸"

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, so I’m adding a little pink to my usual look!

I want to send my biggest hugs to everyone who has fought, is fighting, or has supported a loved one through breast cancer. I’ll be proudly wearing pink throughout October! 🩷

Friday's start off best with flowers! 😄

Every week, we pick someone from our Paws & Petals nominations who has been making a difference in our community. This week, we got to surprise Janette!

We were happy to surprise her with a beautiful bouquet, generously provided by Lundstrom Florist.

Janette's nomination said: "I am nominating Janette Garza. Janette is the kind of person who makes a community stronger simply by being part of it. She is a dedicated small business owner of B'lush Salon. She is a wife, a mom, and a loyal friend to so many.
What makes Jannette truly special is the way she supports others. She celebrates every new business that opens, encourages fellow entrepreneurs, and is always willing to promote and cheer on others - even businesses that could be considered her competitors. She understands that when one small business succeeds, the entire community wins. Janette is one of those rare people who quietly makes everyone around her feel supported and valued. She is more than deserving of this gesture of appreciation. I can’t think of anyone who deserves to be surprised with beautiful flowers more than Janette Garza."

If you would like to nominate someone for paws and petals, please go to the nomination post pinned at the top of my page and drop a comment, or send us a DM! 😁🐾💐
