Hello everybody from UWSP! My name is Collin. I am a social work student, and for this takeover week I will be showcasing the study abroad program here in Fulda, Germany! Today it's all about my arrival

Photo 1 is a picture I took of what looks like a rural part of Germany. I thought the beautiful rolling hills were gorgeous compared to the mostly flat parts of Wisconsin.

Photo 2 is a picture that was taken on campus of our entire international social work group! I am all the way to the right, sporting the UWSP merch. The lady with the red curly hair is Alina, and she comes from Ukraine 🇺🇦. Kristy is the blonde lady, and she is from Australia 🇦🇺. The short-haired girl is Pauline, who hails from France 🇫🇷. The girl with the brown gap hoodie is from China 🇨🇳. The girl all the way to the left is Ehlisa, who comes from the country of Namibia 🇳🇦. Finally, the lady with the black outfit is Juliette, who comes from the U.S. 🇺🇸. We were all enjoying our first look at campus.

Photo 3 was taken on the first night we arrived. We walked through Fulda's city center. We got to see all of the beautiful old German-style architecture. We also took in all of the aromas from the different restaurants lining the cobbled streets.

Photo 4 is a great picture of the sky just before sunset. Our group was enjoying a fun meal on top of Karl Chen Vom Dach. A rooftop establishment with plenty of fun things to do, such as pool, fuĂźball tables, and even a dance floor.

Photo 5 shows the welcome sign outside of campus building 21. This is the main building where social work students study and learn.

Hey everyone. It's Sofia from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for the last day of my NSE takeover. Thank you for tuning in for this week and following along on my experience!

Photo 1: This is one of the many sculptures located at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden near Walker Art Center. It reminds me of the sculpture park in Stevens Point!

Photo 2: Want to see the city from a different view in Minneapolis? Visit the Foshay Museum and Observation deck! It is a 30 floor building and you can see as far as 30 miles on a clear day!

Photo 3: This is a mini golf place I went to, that tracked the player's scores through a chip in the golf balls! This is one of the many fun places you can go to downtown.

Hi Everyone! It's Sofia, a senior Political Science major at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for fall 2026. Today, I have some other photos of campus and the city.

Photo 1: This is a photo of the athletic area near the outside of campus. There are a ton of facilities only meant for athletes, so they can train with the best equipment!

Photo 2: This is a photo closer to the Mississippi river, right by the walkbridge that connects the East and West Banks!

Photo 3: This is another sunset photo from my apartment complex! Once the sun sets, the skyline buildings light up in many different colors.

Hey everyone! It's Sofia, a senior Political Science major at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities for Fall 2026. For day 5, I have some photos I took on campus!

Photo 1: Did you know that there are wild turkeys on the UMN campus? I didn't! You can find them wandering around grassy areas, usually minding their own business.

Photo 2: Here is another study spot at Mondale Hall! There are always tons of seating areas outside of classes, and some tables too if you need to get some last minute work done.

Photo 3: Here is another photo of the leaves changing color for the fall. Can you guess my favorite season? Another thing that's great about this campus is the weather is essentially the same as Steven's Point, so you don't have to worry about anything too crazy!

Hey everyone! It's Sofia, a senior Political Science major at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities! For day 4, I've attached some photos from my favorite spots in the city.

Photo 1: This is the top angle of the Minnehaha waterfall. The whole forest is gorgeous at this time of year, and really makes fall so enjoyable.

Photo 2: Another photo of the trees changing color at Minnehaha. Fall is a really great time to be on campus, so you can experience homecoming and those first athletic games!

Photo 3: This is me with Mrs. Brown M&M at the Mall of America. If you're in Minneapolis, this is definitely a place to visit! They have a theme park, aquarium, and of course, so many stores to choose from!

Photo 4: This is a painting I really loved at the Minneapolis State Fair. The state fair here has multiple exhibits with different forms of art, from decorated cakes to beautiful crochet creations.
