Dress for Darkhorse Days!!

Next week, Meridian Junior High will be raising money for Darkhorse Lodge, a retreat dedicated to serving our combat veterans.

Last year, we raised $150, and this year, we're challenging our Cardinals to beat that goal!!

Check your EMAIL for this week's Cardinal Chronicle to see our Dress for Darkhorse days schedule!

Bring $1 each day to participate and help us support those who have sacrificed so much for our country.

Let's show our Cardinal pride and come together to make a difference for our veterans!!

With National School Bus Safety Week underway, it's a great time to celebrate the Transportation Department's coloring contest winners with a pizza party. Meridian 223's transportation department came to both Highland and Monroe Center to pick up students and bring them to the bus barn for a celebration. They enjoyed pizza, chips, and soda and had a great time visiting with the drivers and other special guests. They took a tour of the operation from the drivers' perspective and enjoyed their time with our incredible drivers. We will recognize these students at our November 4th school board meeting. Great job, students, and huge thanks to transportation for all you do for our students every day!

Drivers: Slow down, stay alert and be ready to stop. Kids may be nearby, entering or crossing the road. 🚸

Give them the time and space they need to get to and from school SAFELY.

Mr. Potato Head visited Mrs. Green's class in art the other day and shared how excited he was that they met their quarterly attendance goals. He shared a little treat and had some fun with the students at the same time. Way to go, 4G! Excellent work.

Nothing is better than walking into a classroom and seeing one student help another in a moment of need. Seamlessly working together as a lesson continued.. It's amazing to see that leadership and kindness in Mrs. Stevens' and Mrs. Keyster's room at Monroe Center.
