I feel so humbled. I started this assignment 4 years ago knowing next to nothing about ROTC. The freshman cadets I started with commissioned Saturday night and presented me with this shadow box. I've seen them grow and learn so much and I'm proud of the 2nd LTs they've become. But what they don't realize is that they've taught me just as much about what it means to be an Airman. I am so thankful to "my kids" for reminding me what an honor and a privilege it is to serve this great country.

The Bataan Memorial Death March pays tribute to those who served in the Philippines during WWII, and the many thousands who perished when leaving POW camps in an event known as the Bataan Death March. Cadets at Detachment 670 wish to honor them by participating in the 27th annual memorial marathon held at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico on 20 March, 2016. We want to send as many as we can without financial strain, so, we are welcoming any support from those who are able to give it. This is a lot of pushups!

Every home game, after every score, the Oklahoma State University Army ROTC and Air Force ROTC Cadets lift one person onto the board to do one push-up for EVERY point on the board...it can add up quick with this team.

These Cowboys (many who have prior service) will all commission as 2nd Lieutenants in the U.S. Army and Air Force after graduation and lead our Nation's Soldiers and Airmen.

This , I want to personally thank everyone who has, is, or will serve our Nation in uniform.

Through five games at Boone Pickens Stadium, these Cadets have done more than 1,100 push-ups. Here's to 1,000 more this season.

Alumni. I have to brag a bit here. Your Det is currently #1 of 36 in SWR for GPA and #6 of 145 nationally. We are also #7 of 36 and #47 of 145 for PT scores. These cadets are rocking it!

As many of you know, we did the POW/MIA run this last weekend. It was a great success and I wanted to highlight a "First" for our det...This year, our cross-town cadets in the Tulsa area joined the run IN TULSA by running for one straight hour from midnight to 0100. Between these cadets running and the 24hours that were ran in Stillwater, our cadets ran close to 500 miles that night. Here's a few pictures of the event.

Det 670 Alumni and friends! Come out and support the cadets (both Army and Air Force) as they honor our POW/MIAs by keeping the POW/MIA flag in constant motion for 24 hours. We will be carrying it around Boomer Lake in Stillwater starting Friday 25 Sept at midnight. If anyone wants to join, you are welcome!

Fall 2015 ROTC Burger Burn Army and Air Force ROTC cadets, faculty and alumni gather twice a year for the biannual ROTC Burger Burn.

Out of state residency? Not if you are in ROTC! Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin signs a bill to give In-State Tuition status to anyone enrolled as an active ROTC cadet.
