Looking for a drought forecast? The Oklahoma Mesonet is a valuable resource for producers. Timely weather and climate information helps us make better decisions from the garden to the field and on the ranch. Take a look, Payne County producers.
Are things fixing to (Okie to English translation: "about to") get interesting around here? Drought relief on the way? We hope so! https://ticker.mesonet.org/

π Hoof to Hook | Beef Fabrication Workshop π
On May 29, we hosted a Hoof to Hook Beef Fabrication Workshop at OSU's FAPC. During the workshop, participants got an in-depth learning experience on the beef production process beyond the live animal! Attendees learned about carcass fabrication, primal cuts, meat identification, yield and quality evaluation, and how to work through cut sheets.
This interactive experience also covered practical knowledge in meat selection, preparation and consumer decision-making, and a taste test to compare cuts and flavors firsthand!
We extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Megan Eckhardt and the FAPC team for organizing this event and sharing their time and expertise with Payne County youth. We would also like to thank the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee for its generous sponsorship of the meal provided during the workshop.
