Happy Orange Friday everyone! We had a great time visiting with many of you at our tables on campus today! We also had a great time getting to meet Miss America and Miss OSU! The Miss America Program has the goal of empowering young women to achieve their personal and professional goals, while providing a forum in which to express their opinions, talent and intelligence. That is similar to the way Charlie and I want to empower students to reach their full potential here at OSU!

Not enjoying this cold snap? Neither are we!
Fix yourself a bowl full chili with this past year's 3rd Place Harvest Carnival Recipe (picture to prove)! This also happens to be a Chuning family recipe, but Matt and Charlie believe that we are all a Cowboy family here at OSU and so Matt is more than willing to share it with you!
3 lbs. ground meat (Pikes Peak) 1 tsp. cumin
1/4 c. olive oil 1 tsp. marjoram
6 tbsp. chili powder 1 tsp. red pepper
3 tsp. salt 1 tbsp.sugar
10 cloves garlic, minced 3 tbsp. paprika
1 qt. water
Cook ground meat in oil until gray, then add 1 quart of water and cook, covered, in 6 quart kettle for 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours. Add all other ingredients and cook (bubbling) for 1/2 hour. For best results, buy "Pikes Peak" roast and have it ground to hominy size. Of course, this recipe can be cut for desired quantity. "Happy Eating." Vote Matt and Charlie!
